Upon arrival my room had a horrible smell! Maintenance came put some very strong chemicals down the drain and gave me room spray. I was trying to put my baby down for a nap. I complained a second time and I was finally moved to a different room. If I hadn’t have booked this through Expedia I would have asked to be compensated!

We made a reservation 3 weeks prior to our stay. When we arrived at 10:30pm we were told the room was the last one they had, that they had sold out. While we had reserved a room with 2 queen beds, we were told that they only had a king bed. So we requested a roll away which they did bring up. We were shown to a room that was very warm. We switched on the AC which started to blow semi cool air. Within 30 minutes it was clear that there was no working AC in the room. We called and asked for a different room -none available, so we asked for a fan. When maintenance brought it, the gentleman said, "wow, it is warm in there i can feel the heat of your room blowing into the hallway". We called the desk again to ask about another room, they said they would comp us. There was no offer to fix the AC or surprise that it wasnt working. It was very clear that they had knowingly put us in a room with no AC. The room was at least 85 degrees all night. We couldnt even open the window because there was no screen on it. Shameful practice, horrible treatment. Hilton should be ashamed of themselves. The greed in renting out every last room in Pamllm Springs in 95 degree weather when they know a room doesnt have AC. We came for my son's golf competition, if only they would reuimburse us for what will be a difficult day for a kid who barely slept because he was sweating all night.

All around very pleasant and enjoyed our stay, the one and only one throw us off and even have to change our second day stay was the disgusting look and unwelcome when I went to eat breakfast. My wife and kid where eating there breakfast, when I arrived and was given the menu, I told the lady to add it to my wife’s order and we had prepaid for our breakfast, immediately her facial expressions changed. I didn’t want to creat a sin but I asked what’s going on, the server called another one to check it out had a little kind of meeting while I was listening and then no problem I just had to add it then with your wife’s order… and walk away… I called her back and told her, I shouldn’t be treated this way and if she wants to charge me again she should just ask me to pay not trying to humiliate me in front of other guests like that. I felt like we were profiled for no reason with that disgusting look and the way they questioned how many person can eat on prepaid breakfast, like we didn’t disclosed we were three guests. I am glad I didn’t stayed the second day there in contest of the humiliation that my family felt.

Liked the property however, my room started getting cleaned before I checked out!! I went out to breakfast and planned to go back to the room to rest before leaving, but when I got back to the room at 10:15am, housekeeping was already in there and the sheets were already off the bed. I had already taken everything to car but I never said I was ready to go. Told the front desk and all they did was say sorry. It’s bad enough that check-in is after 4pm and most hotels charge for a late check-out…is there a partial reimbursement for early check-out since I didn’t request it? The other weird thing was the tv…lots of channels but the guide was not an interactive one. Had to go to channel 70-10 to find out what was on tv, then had to remember the 4 digit channel. The parking area at night was dark. Staff told me to park in front because back was dark. Well the front was dark too. The only entrance to the hotel was through the main entrance. The room key didn’t work on the side doors, which made it inconvenient. I didn’t try going to the pool because it was too hot overall, but the family said the pool water was really warm to actually enjoy.

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights - 25th and 26th. It was ok. we didn't use the maid service because we were with family members most of the time we were there and only staying 2 nights. we left a nice tip for the maids anyway. we were in room 217 I wore my slippers - nice brown ugg slippers that were a gift to me from my mom who has since passed away. I left them in the hotel and realized this as soon as I got home the night of the 27th. I spoke to a very nice young man who said he would contact the housekeeping manager and call me back. he called me back that night and told me the housekeeping manager had left for the day but that I would be contacted the next day. I was never contacted so I called the hotel and was told housekeeping did not find them...that is impossible. I'm very disappointed. I will never return to that hotel again.
