Dinah's Garden Hotel

This hotel well exceeded my expectations. It was like staying at a family resort in the middle of the city!

s/o to Greg and the entire staff who helped us enjoy a giant family reunion-slash-graduation this past weekend at Dinah’s! Very beautiful and interesting property, so peaceful, fantastic food, very comfortable rooms. I can’t say enough great things about this hotel!

The Hotel was great for zs travelling with a toddler. Nice area and great playgrounds in proximity :)

Wonderful place to stay in Palo Alto! A family favorite!

A little quirky, a little whimsical, and very, very comfortable — Dinah’s is unique. We come to Palo Alto frequently to visit family, and we wouldn’t dream of staying anywhere but Dinah’s. Friendly and helpful staff. Poolside restaurant offers high-class comfort food with a few interesting twists.

We were tremendously impressed with everything about Dinah's. The grounds are beautiful, filled with gardens, koi ponds and pathways. And the room was fantastic! It was the deluxe king, and appeared to be considerably larger than the standard (for a negligible additional cost.) There were two sinks in the bathroom area, and another at what might be considered the bar. There wasn't a microwave, but the glass-fronted built-in refrigerator was totally silent, which is unusual. Oh, and there was a large closet and tons of drawer space. The upscale restaurant at the front of the hotel was surprisingly expensive, (for us, at least), but the one beside the pool was perfectly adequate. (And there are plenty of other good places in the general area if you have a car.) What else can I say? We were both surprised and pleased by how much we enjoyed our stay here. By the way... we were here for my 55th high school reunion, and when I was a kid, Dinah's was a pretty funky little place. How times change!

Our third stay at Dinah's. Great service at front desk, housekeeping, and the restaurant. Beautifully maintained gardens and pool area. The casual poolside restaurant is filled with families and friends of all ages having a good time, while other areas of the property are quiet and serene. Love that it's an independent hotel. A gem.

The restaurants is excellent, tried the chillaquiles- amazing! the steak- amazing! The french toast-amazing! The meatloaf- amazing! You get it. Stayed in room with view of the pool, if you are not a morning person do not book a room over the pool, kids love to have a good time in the pool and you won't be able to sleep in. Room was no frills, basic but clean. Definitely, booking here again.

The staff was fantastic, and really went out of their way to take care of my specific needs for business and family. Great recycling program too! Dinah’s is always the best place to stay in Palo Alto.
