Gold Country Casino Resort

Stayed there because it was the closest hotel to the house I was attending Thanksgiving at. I don't have interest in gambling or casino but just chose the closest hotel. Check in was a little longer than I would have hoped for since I had done all the check in online. When I left and realized that I had accidently left behind an item of clothing, I was relieved to discover that my daughter that was also a guest at the hotel, had not yet left for the 2 1/2 hour trip home. She was able to go to the hotel and get the item. The staff was ridiculous and refused to give her the item. Eventually and reluctantly, they did hand it over. Apparently, neither my daughter of any other of my family members who live in the area would be able to pick up the item and the only way I would be able to get it back would be to make a 5 hour trip to Oroville myself within 30 days. I've never left anything anywhere behind in the past and of course it was my fault but this was a pretty unnecessary harassment.

My king junior suite room was nice, except the sofa was worn and soiled.

Had a very nice time with family dining at the Acorn Cafe.

Super friendly and professional staff. Courteous to the point of opening the door with a smile. Great family stay with the non smoking rooms isolated and extremely clean. Overall five stars!!

Usually we stay with family but this trip we needed toake other accommodations and we were very pleased We got upgraded and the room was very large with nice amenities, jacuzzi tub ...huge bathroom ! We were very comfortable...not a great view though

We stayed at the Gold Country Casion & Hotel in Oroville California. We Loved the NON Smoking - Very Clean room. It had a Huge bathroom with the toilet, tub and shower all seperate. We paid the same rates as the lower class hotel we stayed in last year. The service were great. The only thing you the room had missing was a microwave and tea bags (I don't drink coffee) in the room. We would recommended it to others. So much so that my sister took pictures to show the family the room when we got home. When we come back to Oroville we will definetly stay there again!

Spent 4th of July at the Gold Country Casino. I was traveling with my elderly parents, sister, and niece to the area for a family get together. At check-in we found the valet to be most helpful with our abundance of luggage!! We enjoyed our large rooms and LOVED the HUGE bathrooms. We ate twice in the hotel cafe and enjoyed the food. We found the Gold Country Casino to be an all around pleasant experience! Did I mention we had a great room rate and left the casino with some extra cash?

The room was great. Spacious, clean, huge bathroom. However, I didn't feel safe walking into the hotel from the parking lot with children. We had to walk into a smoking casino before getting to the elevator. It wasn't too far but still not something I would want to expose my children to. The check in is on the 2nd floor and in order to get there we had to walk into a casino full of smoke.
