Paséa Hotel & Spa

This was my first time at this property and 2nd time to Huntington Beach with my family. The first time I stayed was at Kimpton Shorebreak Inn. In comparing the amenities I thought they did offer more as far as S’mores nightly for the kids, happy hour each night for the adults and a candy bar for the kids, was a nice addition to the stay. I did enjoy my time at Pasea and the staff was friendly and assisted when I needed.

Great location and kid friendly

The shower water temperature control might just be the worst I have ever encountered. I'm not kidding. I'm very serious. The worst, and I'm 75 years old. If you start by trying to ease it up from cold to hot you will never get there. Ever. If you then put it up to hot you will get very hot water, but no where near comfortable. If you then start moving it from hot toward cold it will stay hot. So, you mess with it for at least 2 or 3 minutes, all the time wasting water because it is either too cold or too hot and you basically just put up with the situation and get something colder or hotter than you want. The cost to keep a vehicle parked overnight is awfully high, but then parking is tough in the Huntington Beach area, so I guess that is just life. Grant Jonsson

First time staying at this hotel and definitely will not be the last. My family and I loved it. They had me at check in with the amazing customer service and the rest was just icing on the cake. Clean, very spacious room, amazing view (had ocean view from side of hotel), and most important for me is water/shower pressure which was perfect.

Property itself was beautiful with an immaculate view of the ocean. Location is prime with being in walking distance of a lot of attractions of HB. Amenities, at least the ones I requested, were not accurately depicted on the website. This hotel prides itself by being dog friendly but services for dogs were severely underwhelming. The dog VIP package we requested promised a dog bed and dog bowl and a welcome gift for our dog (as stated on the website; 9/9/23) but we did not receive any of these items. We did not bring his bed or bowl because of what the website said and we were extremely disappointed that the hotel didn’t live up to what was stated on its website. The dog park was also extremely underwhelming and dirty. When we took our dog to the park, there were dried feces on the astroturf. This poses a health hazard for all dogs and it didn’t seem like a concern to the hotel to keep the dog park clean. We would recommend walking your dog down PCH much more than visiting the hotel’s dog park. We also ordered the fruit welcome basket. The fruit was delicious and the service was friendly and timely, however, the amenity did not look as appetizing as it did on the website. Finally, it was a major inconvenience that the hotel only offered valet parking as that is not our preference. This hotel is perfect for couples getaway weekends and family vacations, however, if you’re looking for the best experience for your dog, we recommend looking elsewhere.

The property, pool, food, beach proximity and amenities were all great for solo travelers or families. While it is great that the resort is pet friendly, the beach and dog combo can linger in the rooms. My room had a strong smell and housekeeping did their best, but unfortunately is lingered. I would suggest giving your room a good whiff before settling down. Looking back I should have had the room changed right away. Otherwise, the place is great and I'll return (with my nose ready).

Had such a great five night stay that we came back the next week! Spectacular vantage point to enjoy the fireworks! Will make this a family tradition!

Lots of extra touches that made our time very special. Fun and attentive staff. Rooms and grounds very clean and stylish! There were family oriented areas as well as a rooftop bar for adults, and shopping very close. Great food, and a mid century pool area and it is across from the beach!! They truly thought of everything to make our stay super!
