Torrance Marriott Redondo Beach

We liked the location - right next to Del amo Mall and Nordstrom. And many restaurants near by. Our kids loved swimming pool.

The pool/outdoor area is great! It offers so many fun options for kids.

Rooms were clean and I appreciated that there were vinyl floors instead of carpeting. The pool was heated in Nov so that was great for the kids.The restaurant was very, very expensive though, If it weren’t for the fact that it was Thanksgiving evening and we were all exhausted, we would’ve eaten out.

The receptionist,Mr. Ukyo provided exceptional attention to detail during check in,and always greeted our family by name, which deeply impressed us. We have stayed at Marriott HOTELS in USA,but we believe this stays is the best for us.

4pm is a late check-in. I was called when my room was ready. 10 min later at desk i was told room wasn't ready. I was then given a room that handicap accessible. No closet and no where to hang any clothes or towels. Definitely not thought out well. The hotel is nice. The beds and linens are nice and comfortable. The common areas also nice. This was a stay-cation and I was shocked that as a guest we had to pay $31/ day for parking. No where in the city of Torrance charges that. You could literally park across the street for free. There were also several kids in hotel for baseball tournaments. They were running around yelling and not kept in check by chaperones or staff. Definitely killed the romantic weekend we were hoping for.

We booked a room with two queen beds. Upon arrival we were told that they only have rooms with king bed . We told them that we are traveling with two kids hence booking two Queen beds. They still said that they were sold out and king beds were only left. They ended up giving us queen rollaway bed, that was not comfy. In order to make us happy they told us we will not get charged for parking but upon exiting the parking next day the card did not work so we ended up paying. The pool was not really heated and the internet was 14.99. We will not be coming back.

Hotel located conveniently to Del Amo Fashion Center with stores and restaurants and Matisuwa Market. Housekeeping is available upon request. Room is clean with contemporary amenities. The bed was a bit too soft as my body weight is over 200 lbs. It was great to have a Starbucks in the hotel lobby area to get my morning coffee. There ere two outdoor seating areas with fireplace where you can stay warm in the evening while drinking cocktails with family and friends.
