Sonesta Redondo Beach & Marina

Perfect hotel for our family to use as a base for a weekend of celebrations. Unfortunately I didn't realize until the last day that one of the rooms did not have the marina view I paid for. I mentioned it at checkout but didn't pursue it when the clerk didn't offer any explanation. The only other downside was that the televisions weren't able to receive the signal for the major network stations and we weren't able to watch the Olympic opening ceremonies or the competition.

I have to admit for the price. I was extremely shocked. The rooms were so outdated so dusty there was burn holes in the carpet. The bathtub was dirty. The ceiling above the bathtub was dirty.. No microwave no bottles of water in the room when we got there. We were promised a rollaway bed all three nights and never got one called the front desk and they said no after telling us we would have no charge. The carpet was dirty, not enough toilet paper in the room as if they’re not then clean I would say my stair was extremely disappointing. Then we went to the bar to get a Coke and the bartender said we don’t sell Coke. You have to go in that little store and buy it so we asked for 2 cups of ice and he said not until you go buy your Coke which we found rude. Location was good. It would just be better if the rooms were updated not At all, I expected a bathtub. No, that’s not updates. I travel to California all the time because my family lives there I come in from Ohio that was my first time at your hotel Sorry to get poor feedback, but that was my experience. Thank you for the opportunity.

The bathroom had no proper door. It was an accordian type swing door with a faulty lock. Also had to change the room because the initial room provided was all the way at the end of 3 long hallways. The check in agent should have noticed I had 2 kids that were already tired and assigned a closer room. Also, had to pay $35 a day separately for parking. So overall it became quite expensive. The food from the restaurant/bar by the lobby was very good, and was provided expeditiously.

When visiting our family Sonesta Redondo Beach is always our first choice hotel. It is comfortable, clean, and convenient to our kids home in Rancho Palos Verdes.

Great place, friendly staff but thin walls Room next to me had crying kids all day and all night, and we heard it all

The property itself is very appealing with a nice big lobby and helpful staff. However the room itself was very basic, not as clean as I would have hoped, and not as great of amenities. The beds only had two pillows each(which yes we could have called but it should have been done already and seemed very basic). The TV was basic, no smart TV, no movies for the kids, etc. It was nice to have a fridge, and a store downstairs that had anything you might need if you forget. The breakfast was very basic, reminded me of a holiday inn. Overall felt underwhelmed for what I was expecting.

I commend the staff for their friendliness and professionalism I did not like the 3 or so additional taxes per night, I did not like the fees for parking $33 per night. Unfortunately people smoking and or vaping pot on site in the elevators with children near is unacceptable.

The hotel is in a great location. It is within walking distance to the Redondo Beach Pier and the board walk. Everything about the hotel is great. However, the front desk staff were not pleasant. It was not what they did. It was what they didn't do during the two nights that my family stayed. Not once where we were greeted during our stay. As we were walking in/out of the hotel (passing by). And NO they were not busy with other customers. Very disappointing!

Great place to stay with kids and family or just for couples. My wife and I came here for 4 nights and had a blast. Walking distance to many restaurants and bars. Has bike rentals on site which was awesome.

Walking distance to Pier and Beach- Pool is small and not kid friendly
