Room had a king size bed, that was comfortable. The pull out was very "used". The mattress and blankets were old and we had to turn off the air conditioner as our child, who slept on the pull out got very cold, blanket was thin and old. Otherwise, overall room was comfortable.

Was supposed to stay 2 nights, but checkout out at 3:30 am on the first night for the following reasons: 1) The pool was advertised as heated. I called the morning of 5/25/2024 to make sure it was heated, and the front desk confirmed it was heated upon check-in. However, the pool was certainly not heated when we used it. 2) Hotel advertised cribs were available. I confirmed the crib upon check-in. However, three different Pack-and-Plays were delivered to our room in the course of the evening on 5/25/2024, as two of them were broken. Moreover, a Pack-and-Play is an activity center for an infant, not a crib that a toddler sleeps in. When I asked the front desk about this later than evening, they stated the hotel only offers Pack-and-Play, not cribs. This is contrary to what is advertised on the website and what staff had stated to us prior to obtaining the room keys. Our toddler did not sleep and was not comfortable in the Pack-and-Play, interrupting her sleep and ours multiple times prior to the fire alarm going off. 3) Our room was directly adjacent to the elevator, which made it difficult for us to sleep due to the consistent noise. 4) The Fire Alarm went off at 2:30 AM on the first night. We could not go back to our room until after 3:00 AM. My toddler would not go back to her restless sleep after this incident, and entire floor smelled like smoke.

We had the corner view suite (1 bedroom - Room 218). Pros: - The view was amazing. Loved falling asleep and waking up to the city lights across the water. - Our toddler sleeps separately from us so the 1 bedroom was perfect and we had him in a pack n play in the living area. - Great in-suite kitchen amenities! - Continental breakfast was adequate. - Close distance to the aquarium, harbor tours, Queen Mary, shopping, & restaurants. Cons: - The pool is supposed to be "heated" to 70 degrees, but it stayed at about 50-60. Prickly feelings on my skin while I tried to get in. This was disappointing because I picked this hotel specifically for the pool and we didn't even get to use it. It was 71 degrees out in the morning and the front desk told me that "it's heated, but it's because we're close to the ocean", which doesn't actually make sense. We felt were the "heated" water was coming out from and it was no much warmer. The hot tub was also not working for the 2 days of our stay. I feel like if amenities we're paying for don't work, there should be actual apologies and a possible removal of at least the parking fee ($31 a night). - The bathroom was a bit rough upon closer inspection. One of the shelves in the shower was broken with a hole in it and rusted all over. The vent in the shower was heavily caked over with dust. - Other than the continental breakfast, they don't serve food or have room service in the hotel.

Mini vacation with grandkids. Corner suite was awesome with kitchenette, micro and dinnerware. View was terrific! Front desk personnel were very pleasant and helpful throughout our stay. Couple of down sides, crude oil/refinery smell several times a day (out of your control) and a dirty coffee pot. Other than that, the hotel sits across from Shore Village and all the hustle and bustle (a real plus! ) A quick 3-4 minute drive to all the shops and aquarium. Free hot breakfast a plus as well!

There were two false fire alarms. We had to evacuate the building at 2 a.m. Then the alarm went off again around 5 a.m. We make a room reservation with plans to sleep and rest yet we didn't experience that. The staff said they had never experienced it. My three young children were terrified with this experience.
