We had an amazing stay at the National Hotel. We've always wanted to stay there when visiting family in Jackson but never able to. The staff were friendly and professional, the hotel atmosphere was great. You could really feel the 1852 vibe. The decorations and artwork was perfect. We can't wait until the lounge, bar and restaurant are remodeled and open. No real ghost stories to share, but there are old visitors for sure. It's centrally located in town, just wish Jackson was thriving with some business and restaurants nearby. Too many antique stores and closed shops in down town. My only recommendation is to have a nightstand on both sides of the bed and a shelf for toiletries in the bathrooms. Other than that, it's perfect! Thanks for being a great host Tamara! cheers.

Nice hotel that is convenient in down Jackson. Rooms are small but cute with old fashioned decor. Large bathroom with heated floors. Nice breakfast included. It was our third time to stay and will definitely stay there again the next time we visit our family.

The decor was fascinating! All the furniture brought back memories of my childhood. The breakfast was a bit odd - sort of confusing until one studied the options. I enjoyed the available fresh fruit.

This property includes many old historical pictures inside, showing what it looked like during the gold rush. We enjoyed taking photographs of the art and chandeliers and learning about the historical art pieces like sculptures. It's next to a creek running by the property and has a lovely balcony outside The breakfast Cafe, where we sat and enjoyed watching hummingbirds. The town is very quaint and has an adorable main Street full of antique shops, cafes, and other historical landmarks which are very walkable for a fun day. We stayed 2 days and saw everything, and we will be returning every year due to the wonderful staff who made us feel like family. Holly was the best, she is so helpful and encouraging to our group who was performing on main Street as cowboys, for the annual street fair. I would highly recommend a balcony room, where you can sit outside and view main Street in the wind. Beautiful hotel, and we liked looking through the Black book of ghost stories in the lobby next to the beautiful fireplace. Everyone should go at least once!
