Best Western Plus Humboldt Bay Inn

Convenient location. Came with decent breakfast options. There was scrambled eggs, cereal, yogurt, waffles and an automatic pancake maker that was a hit with the kids. The pool and hot tub area is nice.

Beds are not comfortable. They squeak when you just sit on them and feel like a soft air mattress where you sink in a little. I could also hear the neighbors tv through the wall quite well. The staff is also very strict about the rules. I was stopped at the front desk to make sure my keycard was swiped. “For counting purposes” he said. But if you go in from outside people hold the door for each other and never swipe their card. ??? Also saw a couple approached with their children in the pool area who were sitting with their feet in the water be approached by staff and told they couldn’t have their children in the hot tub because they were too young. Really, their feet? And their parents were right there. I won’t stay here again 🙄

The hotel was nice. It is between hwy 101 north and south, but we did not hear the traffic. Staff was friendly and check in was easy. Breakfast was good. The granddaughters only complaint was there was no cereal for kids. Plain Chex, cheerios and bran flakes. There are only a few spots big trucks will fit in. I would stay again.

Gary is amazing and our kids loved the spa. The hot tub, fitness room with massage chair, pool and breakfast are incredible. The attention to detail at this place is wonderful. One of our best experiences traveling and staying all over the west coast from Alaska. If we come back down this way we will for sure be back. My only request is that they keep the hot tub, fitness, and spa area open until 11.

Great place to stay. Very clean and kid friendly

I was worried about the busy streets this hotel bordered but when you cross into the parking lot it falls away, they have truly made this place an Oasis. The rooms were great, clean, and functional. But, the pool and hot tube are where it is at. This was by far the best pool area we have been too, plenty of seats with heated areas, fire pits, lounge chairs and a bubbly warm hot tub. The breakfast was great, very clean, lots of options and continually restocked. I should also mention the family friendly atmosphere and the included limo!

This property had an awesome pool and spa area with fire pit, pool table, giant whirl pool and so much seating that it never felt crowded. Free breakfast was a plus and the complimentary limo ride for dinner was exciting for the kids. Friendly staff too that were always busy restocking and maintaining the grounds.

Sadly the hot tub was closed. This was a factor in choosing this hotel, so that was disappointing. The pool was outdoor with a small portion under a cover, indoor/outdoor as we had expected based on the pictures. It may be insignificant for some, but with kids on long road trips, the pool is what they remember about hotels so the details are important to us.
