Blue Lake Casino & Hotel

While I didn't expect things to be super family friendly, having ALL of the restaurant options within the casino area really does make it difficult to enjoy a meal on the property as a family. In addition, my wife was given a gift certificate for a 1 hour massage at the spa, which apparently is a treatment option they don't even offer! Why would you sell gift certificate for a product you don't offer?? She was able to get the money back. We ended up coming home a day early and checking out of the hotel before our final night.

Our short overnight stay was very pleasant and relaxing. The front desk folks were welcoming, efficient and helpful. There is a small gym with newer equipment and a delightful hot tub for afterwards. The service at the restaurant was wonderful. They accommodated my kiddo’s health concern and were kind and helpful to us in every way. The food was quite good and the portions were generous. Try the garlic fries. The rooms are spacious, the bathrooms are very clean- and surprisingly sleek and modern. The best thing: the shower. Hot water, perfect pressure, nice smelling soaps. Could have stayed there all day. My only complaint is the noise from the hallway. You can hear every conversation, footsteps, dog chain, food service etc. I’d stay here again, but I might bring earplugs if I have to get a solid night of sleep

We got in late and didn't get any time for the pool. We were very impressed with the room size. The beds were comfortable. We had our children because we were on a family vacation, not gambling, and this was a nice, safe hotel not far from Redwood National Park. When we got in late, we had not eaten and there was one restaurant that did not allow anyone under 21. A very nice employee from the casino floor helped as as we were walking through to find the restaurant and they had to stay a little late by the time we ordered, etc. They were very pleasant about it. The food was good! We were looking forward to the breakfast buffet the next morning but even though i had booked the room as 2 adults and 4 children, you only get vouchers for $8 for each adult (2) towards the $16 buffet. We then decided to not eat there because that was going to get pricey for 6 people. To each their own, we just had to spend wisely while paying for a vacation for 6. We were very happy with our stay here though!
