Four Points by Sheraton Bentonville

Management and support staff were all extremely rude (It’s apparent that the customer service issues start at the top—the support staff has clearly been trained by someone who has no business working in hospitality). There was NO housekeeping in the room, and I had to interact with the put-out staff at the front desk every time I needed a clean towel or trash bag for my room. All common areas were dirty, and trash was overflowing from the cans onto the carpet. I moved to a different hotel when the hot water stopped working, and there was no ETA available on the repair. I’m going to chalk it up to not being able to find a competent person to run the hotel during Covid, but I’m certainly not going to recommend this place to any of my friends or family. Very disappointing.

We originally booked this hotel for the indoor pool, but quickly found out (after poor advertising) that the pool is closed due to COVID. (Which is like no one anymore) then come to find out that the internet was down less than 48 hours before our arrival. We were offered to cancel, but I was traveling with family and they did not receive this offer. I feel like I extremely over paid based off an entities offered compared to other choices in the area. Breakfast is also not included. Which is not very clear until you book the hotel.

It’s obvious Sheraton purchased this “lower star” property from another hotel chain, shined it up, and used its name to slap a “4-Star” rating to justify its higher price. This is a 3-3.5 star MAX that relies on a few nice lobby pics to bait & switch out of town guests. We choose this hotel for its pool that was unavailable the entire month. 1 of its 2 small elevators were out of order adding several minutes on every trip. The outside of the property looks like a rundown 2-3 star somewhat rundown property that just threw up a couple new signs. The online photos certainly give the impression of a higher end room but it seems like they swapped out a few fixtures in the bathroom right before the photo opp. My “suite” was just a little larger room with an extremely cheap, uncomfortable fold out couch with a nasty mattress. A couple sports teams were in town for tournaments and that seems to be the ideal guest for this hotel; parents with kids simply needing the basics (3-Star), but I’m sure the news that the pool was unavailable was a surprise when they checked in.
