Upon arrival, the check in staff ignored me when I entered the hotel. One was apparently in training and neither employee acknowledged my presence until they were done fixing Ava error that had been made previously with another customer.
When my family got to our room, e pulled out the sofa bed and there was no bedding on it. I found a sheet in the closet, but no comforter. My husband called down to the front desk to get one and he was told that there were none left. Shouldn’t there have already been one in the room seeing as how there were three beds? That would be too much to ask, I guess… We will not be returning to this location.

I have stayed at a few of these hotels and justified paying more for a room because I'm driving across country and on the pictures the Jacuzzi looks amazing, but when I get there and get my kids ready for the pool so I could sit and relax in the Jacuzzi. The Jacuzzi is always broke down. I'm sending up to $60 more for a room here and the one thing I want for me is always broke at every one of this Chains.

Not a pet friendly property as stated per their site. They also charge undisclosed fees for pets which are not only outrageous but non refundable. They denied my elderly father his room when he showed up with 2 pets my sister and her 3 children. After the 2 managers and Expedia stated we should be refunded the hotel GM said no. So they have decided to keep an 80 year old on a fixed incomes money because Expedia has chosen to stick with the hotels policy even though the hotel and Expedia agree the fees aren’t disclosed and should be refunded. I will never use this site or hotel again.

Walking into this hotel, I was greeted by an entire family that was part of the night managers immediate family. Including a crib in the lobby. I was questioned about my state issued drivers license because it was a "vertical" license. He didn't like that and made inappropriate comments about a "state issued license". We had 2 rooms, one perfect, the room I was in "soiled" terribly with nasty stains in the shower, which made me not want to sleep in the bed. Terrible experience, I will never again stay at a Holiday Inn Express.

The pull out couch is small. Would maybe fit two toddlers or just one teenager.

I didnt like how the staff at night jon called the cops on me for no apparent reason. Cops went up to our room and questioned why we were fighting. I was stunned by the question mind you i had my kids with us and no apparent reason to be fighting. Very uncomfortable and weird.

Expedia messed up our 2 room reservation, the Holiday Inn clerk went above and beyond to get us a 2nd room and to get the rooms close together so we could be near our kids.

Pros:
- Great place for families
- Good breakfast
- Friendly staff.
- The neighborhood is extremely safe.
- Grand Canyon train depot is at walking distance (10min)
Opportunity areas:
- Mattress is extremely firm. You may have a trouble to sleep at night.
- Swimming pool is quite cold. It is indoors, but it is still quite chilly. However, jacuzzi was just fine.

I want to start off by saying the front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. The gentleman working the front desk the night of the 19th and 20th did the very best he could with the situation. I’m not sure if the floors are just very thin, but I know the people staying above us were overly noisy, children running and jumping off beds until 11 pm. The people staying above us the 1st night were moved to another part of the hotel. The people above us the 2nd night woke us up at 5 am stomping around. The carpet in our room was very dirty. My sons socks were filthy walking around on it in a very short time. There was someone else’s hair in our bathroom. The hot tub was extremely disgusting. Tons of hair floating around and it was foaming when the jets were turned on.

Front desk staff was great. Hotel was very nice. Breakfast was great. The room had tears in the couch and a child’s toy was left on the floor from the previous guest, making me believe that the room wasn’t cleaned well. It looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed. We paid almost $400 for a regular room. It was very overpriced for what we got.
