Southwest Inn at Sedona

Loved this place. It’s great price but wasn’t like a chain. Very Sedona cute vibe. Loved our porch/ patio view of the mountains, kids loved the cool pool after our hike & it’s just 5-10 min from the start of the popular devils bridge hiking trailhead (do Mescal start). Yummy hot & cold breakfast. Ice, water, muffins & fruit avail all day. So cute!

Check in was very impersonal. The kiosk only check in option would not allow me to choose a room location. We wanted an upper floor due to possible noise, but we were randomly assigned a lower floor and the unit above us had a large dog and kids that played in the room most of the night. In addition, the constant large flame from the fireplace was too bright for sleep comfort. I will not be back!

Loved our Southwest themed room with the kiva fireplace. Also liked having the soap, shampoo, etc available in the pump dispensers. Enjoyed the hot tub a lot, especially since no kids had been it!

My room is 123 ,the next day about 6:30 am the upstairs make big noise .So we can not sleep. Then I call the office ,she do not call them to stop the kids to run .the second time to call office ,please call them to stop the kids to stop run.

We were harassed by tenant that banged on our door for no reason twice and threatened us. I’ve been trying to call hotel for two days and only get busy signal. We left early and were so upset that we suggested police be called as he was twice my husbands size young and very aggressive and threatened us with final warning that he wasn’t going to tolerate us anymore We are in early 60s travel almost every month and are in bed by 9 and up by 6. He. Asked what we were doing and had just woken up from nap and moved suitcase which I guess upset him. He was downstairs tenant. Instead of going to front desk to discuss in civilized manner he continued to bang on our door. My husband suggested he back off and stop being aggressive as our entire family is LEO and Homeland Security and we had a gun which was never brought out. We know our rights and had no idea what he was going to do to us. He finally went to office saying we were threatening him with gun which wasn’t even In the room that is when I suggested management call police. He then proceeded to circle building under us 3 times until we went on balcony and took pics for proof. We ended up leaving early and we’re so shaken up our tripwas ruined. Coffee machine didn’t work on first morning and they replaced on second day. Denise was super friendly and we were very excited about our 3rd visit to Sedona but it turned into a nightmare I am a cancer patient with brain tumor and do not need nor can process anxious situations.

The location was nice, the staffs were very nice and the room seemed clean. Breakfast choice wasn't much, but it was there, so it was nice. One thing I would change is the location of the soap/lotion by the bathroom sink. I was with small kids, and one couldn't reach for soap easily. But appreciate all "refill" able liquids - because I do not like seeing solid soap goes dump. Wish had some microwave in rooms, too.

Staff gave great recommendations for hiking and dinner. Nice clean hotel room with big bathroom, fireplace worked great for our family of 4.
