Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Phoenix North Scottsdale, an IHG Hotel

My husband and I had to make an emergency trip to Arizona due to our granddaughters arrival we got to say that we are very impressed how the whole staff in the front desk housekeeping and breakfast make sure that we had everything we need and always greeted us with such a great smile we are beyond happy with our stay here and will definitely be coming back and staying with you folks for the holidays thank you so much Holiday Inn Express and suites in Phoenix Arizona the Rivera family highly appreciate you

It is very nice here. I didn't like all the maniac kids running around with no parental supervision but that has nothing to do with the property or staff! Unfortunate...

Close to family

We often stay here when our kids have tournaments at Reach 11 Sports Complex. It’s convenient, close to multiple dining options, has great room size (especially when you get the queen/queen with sofa bed) and the laundry facilities are right by the elevator— great for washing uniforms!

It is conveniently located off the 101 and Tatum allowing for no more than a 10-15 minute drive from North Scottsdale and Kierland’s, dining, shopping, golf, as well as day and evening entertainment. Less than a 5-minute drive to Desert Ridge Marketplace, which includes all the above, and the Musical Instrument Museum. Which is the largest one of its kind and doubles as an intimate concert-going experience. Additionally, they share three or four Electric charging stations with the hotel adjacent to Holiday Inn Express. I was fortunate after a late dinner at Humble Bistro (delicious food), and because I believe a Monday or Tuesday, I can snag a charge and let my auto charge through the night. ( No fast chargers) The staff was hospitable but not 4 Star, but when you think about it, do you expect 4-5 Stars from a Holiday Inn Express? The property was clean, and the room was spacious. Here is my WTW what the what moment. If you have more than one piece of luggage or are traveling with family with kids or golf clubs, or coolers, they have ONE CART, and it’s not your standard cart that allows you to hang your clothes and stack your belongings. For this reason, I will not be staying at a lodging where I have to make 2-3 trips from the car to my room. Their Free Breakfast is back in full swing. We have utilized Holiday Inn Expresses in the past with no complaints. This specific location should be re-evaluated by the executive staff with the organization. We checked in, the gentleman behind the desk was extremely rude as he was on a personal cell phone call when we checked in. We had to wait a few minutes for him to get off the phone. Once he did hang up his demeanor was anything but welcoming. Finally got our room key and I was confirming check out time with the gentleman. He then rudely pointed to the sign and said "II" with a very sarcastic tone. Very disappointing especially since they charged us $250 for a room. During the evening, I went to get some ice. I could not any ice makers nor did I find any signage where the ice machine locations were. I asked the night desk clerk, who also was rather rude and non accommodating, She then informed me the ice machines are located on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors. Again no signage at all. Very disappointing that I had to visit another floor for ice. Although not a big issue, it's a matter of the customer experience that suffered during our visit to this location. Finally, when we checked out, the front desk lady was on a personal call. TWICE within 12 hours. Lastly, we had cobwebs in 2 corners within the room which is concerning and makes one question the cleanlienss of the location. How can a hotel under the managing umbrella within the Holiday Inn family allow this to happen? Hilton here we come.
