4 out of 5 stars

Had to stay in 3 different rooms (think linens alone!) for 4 night stay bc of policy to assign specific rooms 2-3d in advance. The “Mesquite bunkhouse” could maximally sleep 10 (6 in 3 bunks, 4 in bedroom), not 12, and is way overpriced IMO. The central room is basically a barracks style kitchen and there is no comfortable place for a family to socialize. Rate 3 bc bed and showers were great and nice option for large family or two. Price of $200/night in Ajo for the 2 of us out of range for the area. The individual rooms were very pleasant and comfortable and would stay in those again. Rate 4.5. Meals on site are often available, but cannot count on availability (wanted to try dining room once, but was closed for special event). The frozen entrees (that we didn’t try) available in the office sounded good. Staff made efforts to ease our transition from room to room (out 11a; in 3p) the 1 day we needed it, and was very much appreciated. Cleanest property we’ve stayed at recently! Thank you, housekeeping! We liked the vintage accents, local architecture, and the location above the town plaza was great for walking.
