Sleep Inn & Suites Jasper I-22

Room was comfortable but it wasn’t the cleanest. There were food finger prints all over the windows. The bathroom floor had something stuck in the cracks, hopefully food. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. The breakfast items on the buffet were good. Free waffles could be made. The pool was closed for maintenance but it looked perfectly fine. My husband believes they just didn’t want to deal with the pool. Our grandkids were very disappointed since we booked at the hotel to allow them time to swim after driving all day. Overall, we would stay again if we needed to, could take it or leave it.

I stay at this location when I travel back home after visiting family in Arkansas, but I won't be staying here in the future. 1. Booked via 3rd party as I normally do. It was the least expensive hotel at that exit. I stayed at this hotel on my last trip a few months ago. This time the rate was $20 more a night and they put a $100 incidental charge on my CC telling me it is because I used a 3rd party to book. They did not charge the incidentals on my last visit. The charge is supposed to be removed, but it is still pending. 2. The hallway near the elevator had an odor like someone had put something in the trash and it had not been emptied. 3. The room was clean. I liked the walk-in shower. 4. I woke up to a smell of cigarette smoke. I'm guessing it came through the vents from a neighboring room. 5. It is convenient because of the restaurants and gas station. Unfortunately, the rate increase and incidental charge puts the rate over $200 for one night. I'll stop an exit or two earlier next time.
