Hilton Garden Inn Dothan

Immediately upon checking in the staff seemed very uninterested in assisting us. Then upon entering our room we noticed the room was barely clean. Smudge marks all over the mirrors, the headboards of the beds had something on parts of them. Hair on the pillows and hand towels that looked used. The pullout bed was stained and full of crumbs from food. The bathroom was old and dingy along with all of the furniture. Pics are misleading. We were extremely disappointed with the quality and cleanliness overall. Even our kids were grossed out. Instead, we left as the whole vibe of the place was gross. Would not reccomend. We've stayed in a lot of Hiltons and this was the worst.

The external property is what you would expect. The lobby is nicely decorated. It looks updated, but the elevator is not. The elevator was surprisingly dirty. My junior suite was filthy. The sheets had hair and makeup and the floor had grass and leftover items from the previous occupant. The front desk worker, Tyffany, stated we could change rooms. Within a few minutes of the phone conversation, we went downstairs and there was no one at the front desk. We waited for 10 minutes or more for the receptionist to reappear. Other guests arrived and were also waiting. Someone found the lady working the bar and asked if she could assist us? The bartender went in the little room behind the front desk and Tyfanny was sitting right there. It appears we were being ignored. In hindsight, our check in was met with "shifting eyes". I was travelling with my son's fiancee and I believe the front desk staff thought we were an interracial, lesbian couple. Hence, we were not welcomed with friendliness, based on preconceived notions. Our room was switched, but I will not stay here again due to front desk service and cleanliness quality.
