Hampton Inn & Suites Birmingham/280 East-Eagle Point, AL

This was a really nice hotel. Pet friendly and family friendly. We felt safe and enjoyed good parking and green space.

I had to ask for a refrigerator to be place in the room. All hotel I have ever been in comes with a refrigerator. This room had none. The room I was given is ajoin with another room that had a family with kids and it’s like they were in our room . They were so loud at 6am and woke us up they talk and scream all morning . It was horrible. My son had to rest up for a soccer game and we were so tired from not getting any sleep with these loud people without discretion that they are not the only people in the hotel. Yesterday was the same the kids were loud and talk all evening. Worst experience I’ve ever had at a Hampton Inn.

When we arrived the lobby was full with about 30 kids without any kind of supervision running around, screaming etc. It was hard to hear the woman who was checking us in. When we got to the room the beds were somewhat made with the bedspread and sheets weren't exactly made like any other hotel room I've ever encountered. I actually wondered if they had already been slept in. The remote on the tv was slow to react at best, if at all, and when we could get it to work there was no way to get to a guide to see what choices were provided. We also kept hearing something that sounded like Darth Vader breathing. After several hours, we finally figured out it was the elevator that was on the other side of our wall. Kids were running up and down the halls ALOT. The bathroom was clean as far as the sink, tub and toilet but the floor seemed dirty. For $170+ I expected at least a clean, neat and quiet room with a functioning tv.

Stayed for child’s competition. Lots of space, clean and friendly staff.
