Had a fine stay here, free breakfast was quite nice, on Cowgate street which felt a little isolated and nightclub-ish for a family stay.

We stayed during the Fringe Festival. Edinburgh was busy with the hustle and bustle. Our stay at Holiday was nice, the room was overly priced for what it had to offer. The Sofabed rolled out to under the dresser/desk leaving no room to walk around to the window or use the dresser/desk. The room was very tight. For £300 I had expected more Fringe Festival or not. Generally our stay was good, it was a quiet location. Walking distance from the NCP Carpark, Queen’s Gallery, Hollyroodhouse Palace and Scottish Houses of Parliament. Breakfast was ok, but easy walkable access to other alternatives around the hotel. We were able to have our evening meal delivered to us at the Hotel. Overall a good stay, just not too impressed with the size of the room for a family.

This is for literally a place to sleep and grab a breakfast and carry on. It was CRAMPED for a family of 4. As well, being in the university area, the rambunctious youth outsode the window caused many wakings, we even heard a young man get arrested. At check in a homeless man entered the fribt doir begging for water amd was verbally abusive tobstaff. This freightemed my daughters and caused them to not enjoy their stay, and was scared at night. The staff were professiona, but could have communicated with guests at check in better to assure us our safety. Good location to everything.

This hotel is about 2 mins walk to the Royal Mile. It’s surrounded by shops and restaurants. It’s also walkable to Edinburgh’s most iconic tourist spots- like the Edinburgh Castle, Dean Village, Calton Hill, and a lot more. We didn’t have to commute to get around where we wanted to go, which was great! Made our trip more enjoyable and stress free. Our room was pleasantly clean and cozy. They also provide normal size hand soap, shampoo, and body wash, that are probably enough for a week stay (even for a family of 4). Breakfast was included, too! Our favorite was the coffee machine with a variety of other choices like cappucino, latte, mocha, not just the plain old filter coffee. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit Edinburgh, Scotland! We feel like we got so much more than what we paid for and expected!

The location, the staff, the rooms, the breakfast..everything perfect! The absolute best choice! The only downside was the carpark, but overall it still is the best choice for a family holiday! We cannot wait to return!

It was good but a family of 3 to pay £563 for 2 nights plus £35 parking is way too OVERPRICED!!

A decent hotel for families about a block off the Royal Mile. The rooms for families are SO tiny - we had nowhere to put our suitcases and there was no room to walk around the bed at all. Also, the sofa bed for the kids was incredibly slanted on one end, which made for an uncomfortable sleep for the kids (and therefore the parents). Another really annoying thing - there are no electrical outlets anywhere near the bed for charging your devices. The staff are lovely, the luggage storage is safe and secure, and the breakfast is pretty good.

The price was good for the area and the staff were friendly. We were allowed to leave luggage and it had a late check out of 11am. The room was clean. The negatives were that the breakfast room was crowded and it didn’t have an amazing selection. The tv also didn’t work too well had problems with reception. It was a great rate for the area and we could have the kids in the same room.

Great location which is close to every spots. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Rooms were not big, but enough for a family of 3. Breakfast buffet is standard but a little bit disappointed there's no black pudding or hashbrown. Overall it's recommended.
