Black Ivy Hotel

My daughter and I stayed in your hotel. This was our first trip together without any other family members. We had a Lovely greeting on arrival by a member of your staff who swiftly showed us to our room which was very pleasant. We had a very comfortable sleep and a delicious breakfast in the morning. Once again, your staff were delightful. This makes a world of difference and I really appreciated it. I worked in hospitality when I was a student and so realise the importance of being personable to visitors. We had a very positive experience together and in-fact I would love to return with my husband and son at some other point. Thank you so much for making our stay so special.

The hotel is like a boutique hotel, rather than a large hotel. The hotel is surrounded by a big park, is minutes from restaurants, cafes and shops. All of the staff are amazing. So friendly and helpful. The bar is great, the food was great and the atmosphere of the hotel is so relaxing. The rooms are not big, but very comfortable and since our intention was to sightsee and enjoy Edinburgh, we weren’t in the room a lot. From start to finish we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this hotel to family or friends and would definitely stay here again.

What a find this hotel is. Great location for the sights of Edinburgh and for visiting our family. All the staff were friendly and helpful and made it a pleasure to stay there. The room was a good size and well equipped and comfortable, with slightly quirky decoration. Definitely a step up from a chain hotel, and we’ll use it again.
