We stayed here as we were attending a family event . We have stayed here before, and find the hotel very good in general . Staff are very pleasant and helpful. The disabled access lift was out of order when we came last year and still is . There was an electric chair available, but the steps are steep , when carrying a heavy suitcase . Perhaps a ramp could be installed around the side . Overall very good . Oh yes , no lemon for the gin 😩

We stayed one night following a family birthday celebration in the hotel. Lovely old building now in need of a major reburbishment - especially on higher floors. Our roof was clean enough (although the bathroom bin was covered with dust) but it is outdated. The ceiling light was broken, the windows were filthy. But there was tea and coffee making facilities and a packet of custard creams. :)

There was hair in the shower and on the toilet, wallpaper was peeling off. Light switches are not cleaned, lots of finger marks, £15 for breakfast for one adult and child is a lot of money considering it cost £70 for the night including parking. Worst night's sleep I have had in a long time. The floorboards where that creaky, the person above us was up and down till about one in the morning and then up early. Didn't sleep at all and had a long drive home the next day. No one at reception even bothered to ask how our sleep was. For a big hotel on the beach front you'd of thought it would be nicer.
