Holiday Inn Telford - Ironbridge, an IHG Hotel

Really comfortable we attended a wedding close by and was a last minute booking which turn out great as other wedding party members were staying at. Bonus points for the swimming pool at the night staff (Alex) who directed me to a 24 hour Morrisons to get supplies for my sisters kids.

The hotel rooms are old and dilapidated with plaster peeling off the walls and old fixtures and fittings. Our room was old and tired and definitely in need of modernisation. The bathroom was slightly better but a sink that leaked water everywhere and our air conditioning unit didn’t work. The beds were not the comfiest but ok and clean. The breakfast was ok but there were no vegetarian options on display or offered. I did ask if they had vegetarian sausages and they said they could make something but I’d have to wait (I had my breakfast by that time so left it). My family (not vegetarian) also had to wait for 15 minutes as they had run out of some hot breakfast items on the self serve and had to make more. They didn’t realise until they had run out that they should have started preparing more which was a little disappointing. The staff that we encountered were friendly and professional however. I wouldn’t return to this hotel unless there was no where else to stay in the area.

Lovely hotel very suitable for families with access to the swimming pool. Very friendly and helpful staff throughout the hotel. Beware of the old ladies that stare at you and your children when you enter the pool and then come over and tell your children not to splash them all in the family swim time as well.

3rd time me and my 12 year old daughter have stayed. We love it. So family friendly. Great staff. Pool is great and breakfast delicious. Added bonus of the gate out the back of the hotel, to get straight on to Telford town park.Already planning our next stay.

We went to Holiday Inn Ironbridge for our daughters gymmastics competition and arrived very late after being on the road for 7 hours but staff were very welcoming on our arrival and we were in our room very quickly. The family suite was very spacious, clean, warm and very welcoming. Despite sleeping late, and waking up relatively early we felt very refreshed with the comfortable beds and pillows. Breakfast next morning was fantastic with a good choice of hot and cold food and drinks and the restaurant decor with a fireplace in the middle made the restaurant feel very upmarket. Again, couldn't fault the serving staff. We will definitely be back there next year when the gymnastic comp comes round again. We will try and go early next time as there was a nice pool, jacuzzi and gym available as well as a bar and lounge area. Thanks for a great stay Holiday Inn Ironbridge!

We had a horrible night sleep due to the air conditioning not working and the family next door having a crying baby. My daughter was competing the next day for the English Gymnastics Championships so it was a really bad start for us. We were so tired the next day.

Rooms could do with updating, stayed in same hotel 2 years ago and standards have fallen since then…breakfast options have been reduced, only 2 tea bags and 1 pack of biscuits in family room,

Warm welcome at reception and at dinner in the hotel. We used the pool after booking a slot. The downfall of that was so many people who are members of the club were moaning about the children in the pool and that they couldn’t swim lengths!!! Even in the changing rooms after they were still moaning! Made for an uncomfortable time. The hotel dinner was superb thoroughly enjoyed our time there

Stayed 2 nights Sep 2014 as a family of 4 in a regular room with 2 double beds. Room clean and comfortable, with AC, albeit a little noisy. Pool and bar both fine, but breakfast was excellent. Would happily stay here again.

Lovely hotel with amole In site parking for a family trip. The staff at the front desk were so warm, lovely and welcoming and are a credit to this hotel. The conversations in the corridor carried into the room a but but this is a minor thing.
