Stanton House Hotel

Great value. Stayed due to a family event. Would stay again

Hotel is in a nice position in a country park, we were just stopping on our way back from a holiday to break the journey up but it had nice surroundings. Hotel is undergoing work so the entrance is a building site and the lift was out of action so we had to walk up three flights of stairs with a baby and our luggage which was a bit of a pain. However the lady on reception was friendly and she apologised. The room was comfortable and large with a seating area, the bathroom was very clean but the room could have had a more thorough hoover and dust. The bed was comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. Just as a warning, the walls are thin as we could hear someone going to the toilet, we were lucky though as the people in the adjoining rooms were quiet so it didn't affect our stay. We were unable to eat at the restaurant as it was fully booked so I would suggest booking a table! Overall we would stay here again as we slept well and the price wasn't bad, hopefully will get to see the refurbishment.
