Holiday Inn Reading South M4 Jct11, an IHG Hotel

Excellent hotel. Staff were really friendly and really couldn’t do enough for you. All staff were excellent with the kids especially the lady who checked us in, the gentleman who was seating us at breakfast time and the gentleman on reception Saturday morning. All were very friendly and helpful and really made my daughters weekends. Thank you. The girls also appreciated the free hot chocolates and sweets each day and we appreciated that they ate free for our whole stay.

We spent two nights in this hotel and our entire family were able to rest very comfortably. The staff were very friendly and give us instructions clearly. The beds were comfortable and decent size for the price.

Everything else is great, my own suggestion after staying here multiple times now is to please invest in trolley and preferably a porter if you are going to attract more family stays. I am regular visitor of both Reading branches & honestly tired of having to carry / pull individual lagguage at your properties. I'd be a massive tick in the box honestly.

Check in was great. The staff member was very nice and made us feel at home with complimentary drinks. room was clean and tidy. only downside was the noise, sounded like someone was running a marathon in their room upstairs til the early hours and it was very loud from a group of lads in room next door. With young kids that was a nightmare trying to get them to sleep. I did call down to reception to address this and would told it would be looked into but nothing seemed to change.

Would just like to say staff were amazing but when we arrived at hotel we did not have the room we asked for witch i think was not acceptable as i booked the hotel well in advance due to the stay also asked for more pillows for the room and did not get them not good again and on checkout they could not even find my name in the computer as again not good also you had children running around the restaurant in the morning when breakfast was on and there could have been a serious accident with hot teas and coffee due to you having to get your own from the machine thankyou mrs brooker.

Floors were filthy, cleaned our room but left the garbage, including our breakfast plates. Staff really friendly with our kids and ourselves, which made up for things. Great having a free breakfast every Monday, really helped with getting the kids fed for cheap. Room got really hot and couldn’t control the temperature.

The staff were great especially the man who greets you for breakfast he was brilliant so friendly and fantastic with kids. Only real bad thing about the hotel is the walls are made out of paper and you can hear everything in the rooms next to you and above and when I say everything I mean everything even someone pick up their keys. Not great if your trying to get your kids off to sleep.

We had a lovely stay. Spacious clean room and bed was super comfy, decided on breakfast and got a table for 7 straight away. Waiter was so lovely to our neice and nephew he got them colouring, lollipops, we all felt well looked after. Stayed here with my parents, uncle, sister and neice and nephew as we were attending a family function and we would highly recommend staying here :)

Great service and staff. Good that you can park on site especially with a family. Overall lovely family friendly hotel.

Booked in conjunction with a legoland offer. Mentioned a kids play area but there is no such facility in the hotel. Staff were very pleasant, service was fast and efficient checking in and out. Fridge barely worked, no setting I could find to adjust to make the inside cooler. AC unit for the room also was set to 16 celsius and never reached anywhere near that, ended up feeling too hot overnight. The room was also set to 30 for some reason so on arrival it felt insanely warm, at least we know heating works. Other than those issues, it was a pleasant stay. Parking and access to rooms was easy from the rear main car park and key entry system. Breakfast included was a nice selection, great service from the staff once again.
