Crowne Plaza Nottingham, an IHG Hotel

Hotel was very full - we arrived to our room - there was no air con the housekeeping were very very helpful - I went down to front desk to get new room key - no communication no sorry for the inconvenience . Then new room had adjoining door. We needed to be out to meet friends - no time to question that - we hoped for the best. We were awake throughout the night to children screaming next door .

Very nice hotel close to everything. Staff was friendly and always nice. Breakfast was excellent. The pool and steam room was also excellent. We would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area. We will be staying here on our next trip to visit family.

The room wasnt cleaned properly. The sink is still dirty. We left the used towels in the bath for changing still left there when we get back. No new towels were provided. Tissues were empty the maid dont change it , called reception to ask for a box to be replaced said we will get it sorted for u but never get it sorted. The only thing that is good about the hotel is the location and lovely pool for the kids. The showers at the pool were all broken , some doesnt work some that work doesnt have hot water. All in all its very convenient location

Beautiful area to sit and relax in with a drink and catch up with family

I was in Nottingham for my hen do last weekend and stayed at your hotel. Although the staff were brilliant and our rooms were fine, I really feel we should have been informed about the many hundreds of people who were taking over the hotel for the cheerleader convention! It was absolute bedlam and really unwelcoming to have to wait for crowds of people to pass by before being able to enter reception, then have to wait against a wall whilst their organisers were yelling through their megaphones above our heads. We had one drink in the bar but were put off by the kids practising their lifts and exercises, it was just chaos and really disappointing. We would have spent much more time in the hotel but chose to drink and take breakfast elsewhere because it was all so unpleasant. I booked two rooms - one for nearly £200 and the other for £320+ which were not cheap, and it's great that you're busy but that really was at the expense of guests booking in to stay with you. Had we been aware of how it would be at your hotel we would have chosen aa Air B&B. My family who also stayed and booked rooms under the names of Segura and Jones felt the same as I about the situation, and it was disconcerting for me (a former Nottingham resident) who had recommended you to them. Even the chap on reception was overheard saying this it was embarrassing.

This is what I would term a “conference “ hotel. Good amenities and the rooms are good offering what you need but nothing special . The lack of counter space in the bathroom was frustrating and the shower was so low my 6ft2 husband practically had to kneel to get a decent wash. The hotel offers great amenities…pool, gym, spa, restaurant, bar. But I felt that the staff and hotel somehow didn’t capitalize on making these as good as they could be. A shout out to the housekeeping though - room was very clean, our request for two twins instead of a queen in one room was taken care of, and the lady was super helpful when my kids accidentally locked themselves out of their room 10 mins before check out! So full marks there.

Great couple of nights with extended family. Rooms were good size (superior with 2 singles). My mattress was slightly sloping, but everyone else’s was fine. Pool was nice and not too busy. Good choice of food at breakfast.

I had a family room and these were my observation: The room carpet was very old and dirty. The wardrobe doors were out of alignment and don't close properly. The main door and bathroom door were noisy. The washbasin didn't drain well. One light bulb was faulty. The toilet seat was broken and did not flush easily. The room was located near 24h operating machine and it made the night sleep very hard. Finally the parking charge per night was too much. In th positive side good swimming pool facilities and breakfast.

Very nice hotel. Good condition. Friendly, helpful and responsive staff. Close to attractions, restaurants etc. Few points for improvement: - AC: (1) console had a fault error a couple of times (staff rectified quickly) (2) was cold initially but during the nigh we felt warm, like it wasn't kicking back on. (3) AC console is an old style. Temperature could not be set. - Time band for kids to use the pool is somewhat limited...not easy to make it especially in the evening (cuts off at 6pm) after visiting attractions. Also note that there are many pubs nearby and it was a holiday weekend. The streets were busy and people were rowdy. Not great with kids in tow.
