Found this property on a whim for our family of five and it was perfect! Breakfast was included and we were greeted by staff every time we came and went in and out of the hotel. A couple of them knew us by name after a couple of days. Their service was excellent. Beds comfortable. Heated towels in the bathroom. The locations was awesome being within walking distance of many rest and shops and only a few minutes walk from Covenant Station—a straight shot from Heathrow on the tube. We would stay there again!

I booked a stay at the Waldorf for a weekend break with my mum & sister as a special treat. We had stayed there once when I was a child and we had fantastic memories, so my mum & sister were delighted when I told them where I’d booked.
Unfortunately it didn’t live up to expectations. We had a busy weekend planned in London and had a reservation to get to not long after the 3pm check in. I’d contacted the hotel through hotels.com in advance to see if there was any possibility of an early check in. I was told this couldn’t be guaranteed, which I do understand. On the day we arrived at the hotel at around 10.30 to drop off our bags and did the pre check in, I asked again if there was any chance we’d be able to get into our room earlier and again was told that check in was at 3, but that as we had completed the pre check in that our room would be prioritised. We came back at 2 hoping to get in but didn’t get into the room until 3pm. I do understand that early check in can’t be promised, but absolutely zero attempt was made by the hotel or staff to help us. The staff were actually extremely rude, and when my mum went to the desk to ask they muttered ‘Jesus Christ’ under their breath. The room was OK but nothing special for the price paid (£550 for 1 night). We had a room with 2 double beds and they were pushed right together, squeezed into a normal size room. Overall it basic but clean and the bed was comfortable. I’m certain there are plenty of better hotels in London.

We booked this one night for me as it was my bday with my three daughters and my lovely wife. We paid £700 for one night midweek 22nd Feb 2023. My kids were very happy and looking forward to the grand hotel as were we.
We choose a family room which is basically two adjoining rooms and put down there is 5 of us on the travel documents on booking.
The kids wanted the tv in the bathroom so paid extra but found out the tv didn't work- the remote controller had black electrical tape around the battery compartment which was cheap. The tv didn't work so we even tried changing the batteries ourselves to save on calling reception but that didn't work. I rung up reception and asked for help- they informed me a maint person would attend - no one did so no tv. It would of been nice but no joy.
My wife asked the reception in person to put something nice in the room whilst we were out- she was willing to pay whatever just to make something extra. The staff Im told agreed but nothing occurred when we returned from the theatre. Disappointing again .
When we got back to the hotel we obviously needed to go to sleep...We had two large double beds and one sofa bed. But no blankets for the sofa bed. I rung up house keeping and the lady said its my fault for not asking before.
last- hand wash empty in room bottles.
Poor standards for a working class family paying £700 and getting poor standards. I told the reception in writing on departure but nothing back.

False Advertising - I booked a family suite with 3 king size beds, what I received was 2 conjoining rooms each with one king size bed. When I questioned the staff, they blamed Expedia and advised there was no family suite or larger room to accommodate my family. The only solution they could offer was for me to book and pay for yet another room. Shortly after check-in, we had an employee come by to check the luggage they delivered to our room as they had lost another guest’s belongings. Then, the next morning, my husband went downstairs to request a glass of milk for our 2yo. He was told to go back upstairs and call room service. He came back to the room and attempted to contact room service, but no one would answer the call. After returning downstairs, the front desk attempted to call room service, and receive same result. The employee was in process of turning him away empty handed when another employee stepped in to get the milk herself. The staff should all receive hospitality training. The only employees that seem to know anything about hospitality are the guys working the door, which were wonderful and helpful.

I selected this hotel bc it was listed as family friendly but didn’t really find this to be the case. We arrived from a long drive late in the evening and they sent me 0.5 miles away to park which took me 30 minutes to find bc of the roads around there, it was dark and I was exhausted (I live in Boston so I’m used to the windy cow path roads usually). There was no bell hop to help with our luggage but their front door man helped out when they saw how much stuff we had (traveling in the UK for 2 weeks with young children), however I was surprised given this is the Waldorf and all. Room was decent for the location and the maids cleaned well. Very little in the ancient room fridge for kids and what we bought was kept barely cool. We happened to be there during a heat wave and although there was air conditioning, it wasn’t very strong and we couldn’t open our windows at all in the bathroom and only a smidge in the main room to allow fresh air in. The other downside is the pool only had certain hours allowed for the kids (which I’m sure the adults without kids enjoyed)but the times were during times we were out sight seeing mostly. Lastly no one picked up the phone with housekeeping or the front desk the several times I called to ask questions or request additional towels. It is a beautiful hotel but I wouldn’t recommend to families with children.

Special once in a lifetime trip with young grandchildren. Meticulously planned timings and booked the Be Our Guest afternoon tea so we eat and then get ready at the hotel in a relaxed setting for our visit to the theatre commencing at 17:30. Our suite was not ready until 15:50 that meant we were rushed and stressed in order to get ready in time for the theatre. Staff appeared unconcerned and detached when we asked when room would be ready. “In about 20 minutes” we were advised at around 15:05. We were advised to use the executive lounge that we had fortunately paid for access to. 20 minutes would have been a disappointment but a further 30 minutes for young children to have to wait in anticipation impacted on our preparations and well-being and tainted our impression of the holiday and the Waldorf. It’s a shame because we have had previously enjoyed stays with you and are now a little put off about returning☹️. There was no remote for TV in bathroom and no soap in the dispenser in the lavatory adjoining the lounge in the king suite we stayed in.

Excellent stay in Central London. The staff was always attentive and we enjoyed the extra space for our family.
