Unfortunately the toilet wasn’t clean when we arrived, there was a drain smell, we had no hot water till the following morning and there was a baby crying all night next door, the walls must be very thin!

Ok, in short NOTHING about this hotel is as per description- rooms lousy, bed- are you kidding me if this is king or queen, for superior exec room- we are lost I didn't even find a laundry bag for crying out loud They said is a view room- and when i opened windows it was their inner balcony/ own yard or some backwall Bkfast was weird- setup: half buffet half pre-served, i never saw it quite like this; Location is pretty good, but walls, and noise from rooms is too much Pretty lousy. Hope not to repeat this.

No real welcome at check in desk. Small basic room with poor quantity of tea & coffee. Room was too warm to sleep at night because the room was so small no real air circulation, tried opening window but too noisy from extract outside. Small single bed was slanting to one side. Noisy neighbours at 1am thought to 3am and constantly banging their door. Didn’t sleep at all I am very disappointed with this hotel. I was hoping to return with my family at Xmas or the New Year but I very much doubt it now.

Great location and nice on-site restaurant. The room was average; however, it had an issue with both the sink and shower being clogged. The issue was solved the same day but there was a “drainage” smell after using the shower every time. The staff was very helpful and friendly although the doorman looked somewhat selective and didn’t open the door for me or my family every time.

We've stayed t this hotel many times, it has a great location, great breakfast, it was always comfortable in the past. Not sure what happened this time. We arrived and my room was not ready (not acceptable since there is a 4-5 difference between check in and check out. They gave me a room with such a small sink it was impossible to wash your hands without getting all the floor wet, I requested a small extra bed a month ahead and when I got there, they only do this for babies (which is not what they said when I called). the rugs on the room were stained. They had a section in the hotel where they advertised tours, it was gone completely. Again, I've been here before a few times & loved this hotel, not sure what happened

Really nice hotel, room was good size for 2 adults and a child. Main bed was two doubles pushed together which made a massive bed but the crack in the middle was a little annoying. Breakfast was really tasty and plentiful apart from only having orange or apple juice available (tomato and grapefruit are normal staples in 4*+ hotels). Staff were really helpful and the free bar credit for not having your room cleaned is a great idea. Door staff were really friendly and helpful. Only real downside is that it’s a bit of a walk to the nearest tube station but is a great location once your there for Leicester Square, west end theatres and Covent Garden.

We were taking our three year old to the theatre, location of hotel was great for this, all the staff were so friendly to our granddaughter which you don't always get, children in our country are often overlooked, the only down side was the restaurant didn't cater for children, with this in mind I don't mean they should cater your usually chicken nuggets etc with chips, but maybe a child size portion off the main menu could be an option

Great experience! I was staying at Strand Palace for a week, in a single room. The room was very clean. The breakfast was very nice, great variety. However would have wished for greater selection of vegetables. I would definitely choose it again for my next London visit, and recommend friends and family

I booked it due to the location and this was fantastic. I was a few steps from the theatre that we were visiting and close to a tube and walkable to kings cross station too. I was shocked that at 250 a night in a basic room, there 2as nobody to even open the door and a very poor service overall- same service as a standard branded mote, really, so I suppose the money goes into the location. The room was quite newly done so that was good and it felt clean, but it was small and the air conditioning didn’t work and it was quite stuffy- had we been there longer, I would have reported this for fixing. We had afternoon tea which was quite pricey at 70 plus a tip they added automatically, and we had to wait a long time for service and despite prior arrangements for allergens, they had no idea and we had to discuss this a large amount of times. In the end for our money, we received two slices of cheap white bread with a this slice of cheddar, where the outside had gone dry and crusty. It reminded me of what you would eat at a children’s party in the eighties…oh, plus one tiny scone, four mini cakes (they were nice) and a very small baked biscuit (tasted nice) so for that kind of money it was exceptionally disappointing. The drink was watery with no flavour at all and I disliked my tea choice (I asked for something ‘normal’ but was delivered something minty). I would not return for afternoon tea. The restaurant was quiet and clean and we enjoyed being there, but it was overpriced.
