The Standard London

Generally, it was a pleasant hotel. We stayed in a junior suite and found the rooms large and light. We found furniture inside, as well as at the terrasse, was uncomfortable, tables in wrong height and/or unpractical from a work perspective. Basic privacy in the bathroom vs. bedroom is non existing, and light dimming is not working, so if you at night take to used the bathroom you certainly will wake up your partner. It seems that the hotel, in its strive to be hip and smart, has disregarded basic requirements of use.

I love coming to London to visit my daughter AND to stay at the Standard. Thank you for helping me make memories with my family and in your beautiful city.

Property is well located to the central London station at Kings cross which makes travelling within London, England and Europe easy. Property as good restaurants (pricey but that’s in general in London if you eat at good restaurants). Rooms are big enough for families. Will definitely be staying here again when in London

I had a wonderful stay at the Standard with my family. Granted we had two suites both of which had an amazing view. The location is great. I would describe the interiors as very modern. We also stayed at a 5 star hotel for a couple of nights (my son loves skyscrapers so you can guess which one). I would say that was much more luxurious, but the standard was comfortable. I picked it because of the location and it didn’t fail. Restaurants wise, Decimo is fantastic. The others were ok, but there are many options outside the hotel. Front desk staff and housekeeping were great. I was there for quite a while so I also found it super convenient that there was a launderette close by (Kings Laundry). They did a fantastic job with the wash and fold service and they also iron shirts (by request).

This hotel was perfect for our family! It is in a great location and very close to the train station. The hotel has everything for a great stay. The staff were great too!

Amazing staff (George at the front desk was amazing - thank you!), beautiful architecture, and a perfect location resulted in a wonderful stay for our family of four. Will definitely stay at Standard properties again in the future!

This hotel is great. Such a cool and funky hotel. A stones throw from Kings Cross which is ideal for transport. The junior suite is defo worth the upgrade. The outdoor bathtub is a winner no matter the weather. (Raining) The room is large and spacious. The bed seemed huge. Appreciated the gifted bottle of Prosecco for gf birthday. Just the little touches. Staff were attentive and friendly. Checkin was smooth and quick. Concierge was brilliant and was willing to bail us a cab in the rain. Sadly can’t remember his name to give him full credit. Late checkout due to being a gold member was ideal so thank you for accomodating.

This was a great place. I was concerned because I've been in hotels that present themselves as hip urban and down with the kidz, but the management were awful. This was not that case. From start to finish staff were friendly and helpful, the room itself was awesome, and we really enjoyed things. The only issue I had was that so many things in the room were tucked away that we didn't find them for a while---like a coffee maker kit in a drawer, and same with snacks. Maybe a bit more literature orienting you to the room itself would be helpful. But it was a great place, a very nice reno, in one of my favourite parts of London. Pro tip: try to get a room in the mid-level floors. Top floors and ground floor have lots of music and partying, and I imagine the rooms on adjacent floors are not as quiet as ours (6th floor) was. Unless of course you're there to party all night.

Form our arrival, we were greeted and treated respectfully. From Jude and Gilham to all the staff at the restaurants. Truly an amazing experience! Thank you! We will be back! I recommend this Hotel to everyone from families to singles. The hotel has a variety of things to do. The restaurants are the top rated in London. The hotel structure and rooms are an architects dream. Even the restaurant themes are just perfect.

Overall hotel condition was really nice. Staffs are really professional and kind. Location? absolutely nice. However i stayed in junior suite, there is a bath outside and it is needed to be clean. It is not well managed.
