We were so happy with our 5 night stay. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, the room was spacious and comfortable, and, while we only ate snacks or had drinks in the bar a couple of times, that was all top-notch, as well. We would absolutely return to The Rubens and will recommend to friends and family!

The Rubens is an incredible hotel with so many personalized touches that enhance your experience with them. We have fallen in love with this hotel and are booking with them again. They took care of us like family and we felt like we were home. The experience they provide with all of the attention to detail that the staff provides is like nothing we ever experienced at other hotels. I have stated around the world at high end luxury resorts but The Rubens has something very special. Their staff are very caring, detailed oriented, and meticulously determined to take care of their guest. Super happy with The Rubens!

A true family owned and operated high end hotel which has gone to great lengths to maintain the feel and ambiance of its creators. Not one complaint was had and the topper to the stay was Kevin who we will not forget for his attention to our stay.

From the moment we were dropped off by our cab we felt like we were part of a family here. Tony and Marius greeted us warmly, especially making a fuss over the kids (we have 4, under 13). The rest of the staff were likewise helpful, friendly and funny. As we were checking in Maisie whisked the kids away for an activity…. A distraction that was so welcome after a day of travel. The location was incredible- we looked across to the Buckingham Palace Mews. We did the tour and highly recommend it for a glimpse of what goes on behind the walls. We were under 20 min walk to most of our destinations like Westminster Abbey, Knightsbridge, Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly Circus. It is around the corner from Victoria Station, which would have been handy were it not for the rail strikes during our visit. The rooms are each unique, dressed in “royal” finishes. There were several options for dining. We tried the Curry Room which was an incredible experience of flavours and service. Afternoon Tea was a major highlight for us all- service, sandwiches, scones and sweets, washed down with tea…. Or bottomless champagne! The New York Bar, off the lobby, had expertly crafted drinks and very good bar food. We all enjoyed the entertainment from the resident lounge singer! The kids had creative mocktails. I could go on… but we really enjoyed this hotel for both location and comfort, but mainly for the warmth and charm of the staff which would make us want to come back again!

Amazing staff and incredible hotel. I did alot of research on the hotels in london for a family of four. This actually had an American King Size bed! We got 2 rooms for our family of 4 as we were staying for 5 days and wanted space and comfort. 1 was a Superior King and the other Superior Twin with 2 twin beds. The rooms were interconnecting. The hotel guest services made it easy to accommodate our multiple requests. Felt the old world opulent charm of London. Location was perfect. Right in the center of everything. Easy to walk, catch buses, trains, etc. English grill and The Curry Room was spectacular and accomdating to our sons allergies.
