I stayed there recently with my husband and a baby. The hotel itself isn’t bad. The service however was terrible. Reception would never answer the phone. I had to go to reception myself and they still didn’t take care of the ask. Our bedsheet was ripped when I picked up the pillow. We had to ask 5 times for one thing. It wasn’t worth the money I paid.

Great hotel at a good tube stop. The neighborhood is fun and we were able to walk to many touristy attractions. The rooms were lovely, albeit a bit small. But it is fine for a family of 4. Would definitely stay again.

First off, the service at the restaurant is terrible. It’s inexperience with hosting correctly mixed with a beautiful ambiance and slow wait times. Secondly, they offer you coupons of $10 each to use apparently just for dinner and room service, for each day that you choose not to have your room cleaned. They do not write down those days for you and you will feel too weird about having to having the receptionist repeat the days more than twice. “Monday Tuesday no cleaning, Wednesday cleaning, Friday Saturday cleaning” for me to get a number of coupons that I wasn’t able to back check if I was getting a fair deal. My suggestion is to have someone always ready to come up to families, no matter how they look, and prepare to serve them and offer them tours, options, tips, and insights. For the price of this hotel, that is what I suggest. Last note, we asked the room cleaner if she could come in “tomorrow” instead of the 4PM time she came. She said yes and put her hands up in their air to say “Tomorrow? Ok. Fine. I don’t clean today.” We did not get any cleaning the next day.

They advertise that rooms have fridges but they don’t work anywhere in the hotel. The fridge is almost room temperature- not a refrigerator. The staff inform you it is more of a cooler. It is unfair. Children need cold milk, babies need bottles, diabetics need cold insulin, etc. It is false advertising. I asked the front desk about this, in case it was just our room, but they said it was hotel wide. How unfortunate.

Stayed for 7 nights with a family of 4. We loved the proximity to major sights and transit. Room was great, a little tight for 4, but completely manageable. King bed was extremely comfortable, pull-out bed, not as much, but to be expected. Staff was very helpful. Would highly recommend.

Lovely visit to London with our granddaughters. The staff were so friendly and helpful and made a special effort with the kids. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent It is also within walking distance of Big Ben & The London Eye

The hotel is modern and in very good conditions. The infrastructure is amazing. However, there are some problems. If you are staying in the family room be aware that the sofa bed is awful (some springs can even harm your back). Managing the controls (temperature, lights, etc.) is not very simple. And the swimming pool is not very warm. To access the spa (the place where the swimming pool is located) the only access is by the lifts and if the hotel is busy it might delay to get in/ get out there. Finally, the restaurant service can take up to one hour to deliver the food to you

We booked a family stay at Park Plaza Waterloo a few weeks ago for a weekend in London. Overall, it was quite a disappointing stay for such a reputable hotel chain. We requested a travel cot well in advance and this was agreed via email, however none were available on arrival. The check in process was long and not welcoming at all. We were asked to fill in the check in forms and then told that a text would be sent when the room was ready. At 3pm we still hadn’t received a text and with two young children, we decided to head back to the hotel to check why there was a delay. We were then asked to check in again and were given our room immediately so I assume that they had forgotten to send a text… A sofa bed was laid out for the kids, however this was extremely uncomfortable with the springs poking through. A few mouldy old chips were found under the sofa bed which wasn’t great, especially for an exploring toddler. Given the relatively small size of the swimming pool, we were told that we had to book slots so that it wasn’t overcrowded - this was a great idea but not implemented effectively at all! Everytime we visited the pool, it was very crowded and there were easily up to 15 people swimming which was chaotic. The swimming pool was also very cold (although it was advertised at 25-30C), and the ladder to get in and out of the pool were covered in grey tape which didn’t leave me in confidence about its safety. Room service was also not great-food was bland, £7 tray charge

Pretty decent hotel. But terrible kids bed. We had a pull out sofa for our two kids and you could feel the springs through the mattress. Not very comfortable at all. Another problem was the lack of a ramp from the ground floor/lobby area to the restaurant. As a wheelchair user you have to go outside to get into the restaurant. But other than that we had a good experience of the hotel and pool area.
