Conrad London St. James

Wonderful amenities, service and location. The Conrad made our first family trip to London a terrific experience.

Excellent eight-night stay at the Conrad St. James. The service was impeccable and every member of staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a very pleasant stay. The connecting family room was perfect for our family of four. You cannot ask for a better location. We look forward to our next visit.

I booked a trip for our family for someone's birthday and ended up choosing the Conrad St James for it's location and value vs cost. First, the hotel is in a great spot. A few blocks from Westminster and Big Ben. It's on the quieter side of St James Park, which was nice but I also wished it had a couple more things around. However the trade off of being literally steps from the St James Park tube stop is worth it every time. We could be anywhere in London by crossing the street and taking the tube. It was ultra convenient because both the green and yellow lines (district and circle) run through that stop so we never waited more than 5 minutes for a train. As for the hotel, the rooms were very nice and comfortable. Not huge, but definitely not as small as some of the other rooms I've stayed at throughout Europe. It was a really nice size and well appointed. Our room had a bath tub and shower which was great for evening soaks. The only thing I wish the hotel had was a spa. But I knew that going in. For food, we had breakfast at the hotel most days just for convenience before we all went on our way for the day. Breakfast was good and a good value. Dinner at Blue Boar I'd skip. We had an especially long day and just wanted to grab a bite and go to bed early. My wife loved what she had, mine was fine. But it was £95 for a cocktail, 2 dinners and a water. Not worth the money when The Feathers next door had amazing food.

Choose this hotel from other reviews and by checking its location compared to others. Perfect location across from St. James Park and Tube station and literally 1 minute from the heart of Westminster. Hotel was in great condition. Good customer service for the 1 or 2 minor issues that arose over 4 days. Had a family room (King Bed + Single). Nice set-up with integrated speakers into bathroom. Hotel is good for both family trips like ours, and for business.
