Hotel staff were great, especially Betty and the breakfast team - outstanding. Area is a little scary, didn’t like it at all; there was an Asian guy in the bar causing trouble one night, seemed to be high on drugs. Staff dealt with him in the end, but I wouldn’t take family or friends to this area.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the 'Space themed' room. The hotel was lovely. Our room was cosy, quiet and spotlessly clean. Everything we needed was to hand and the fact that the kids had their own area, which could be shut off with a sliding door was fantastic. Our breakfast was delicious, particularly the yummy sausages. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone thinking of coming to Leicester for a city break or anyone with 'Little budding Astronauts ' who are planning to visit the National Space Centre. The kids room even has a rocket control panel on the wall for the kids (and grown ups to play let's pretend on). The little spot lights in the ceiling, in the shape of a constellation, was a very nice touch to the main room.

We only stayed one night with our grandchildren in a family room. The room was excellent, the children were over the moon(no pun intended) with their space themed bedroom, which conveniently had a sliding door to separate it from our bedroom. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel was lovely. The only complaint was the breakfast, they obviously had forgotten to serve it too us as it took ages to arrive, other customers were getting theirs before us. We were told at one point that it was on the way and it still took ages. It was very disappointing when it did arrive, my husband and son asked for full breakfast omitting a few items, there was one small slice of bacon, one egg and one sausage. Bacon was hard and overcooked. My granddaughter had asked fir softly poached eggs, they were over cooked, not runny at all. The egg in my eggs Benedict was again solid. We really should have complained but the children were hungry and because if the wait we didn’t have time to wait for another breakfast. As they promote that their food is excellent we were very disappointed with the breakfast. Overall though our stay was good.

Our stay at the Belmont hotel was great right from the start, our room was ready for a early check in. Our room was very nice, clean, and very comfortable. Breakfast was very good. We was attending a family wedding at the hotel and nothing was to much trouble, the staff were all helpfully and friendly. We can definitely recommend this Hotel, and we shall definitely stay again. Thankyou to all the staff

This is a great hotel right next to the train station. The family room was fantastic and so was the food at the hotel restaurant. The customer service is top-notch, from the receptionist to the waiters. This is where we are staying the next time we come to Leicester.

We stayed in the family room that was space themed and it was brilliant for a family of 2 adults and 2 children. My kids loved the space theme especially having just visited the space centre that day, plus the detail in the bedding being themed, the night lights that led you to the bathroom and the shower gel for kids all excellent touches. We did experience a little noise from outside during the night (think it was drunk students) but only lasted 30 mins and my kids didn’t hear it just us the adults. Very close to train station i noticed, also a small tesco express not far so that was handy. We didn’t book in for breakfast so can’t comment on the food or drink. Service was pleasant and very attentive. My little had had an ‘accident‘ during the night and i mentioned to the house keeper and she was lovely about it and say no problem at all. We will definitely return to this hotel if we come back to Leicester.

I’m unable to fully review this stay as we didn’t actually stay over night, due to an unexpected family circumstance we had to leave before we’d gone to bed; we only used the room to change clothes prior to going to an event. Therefore it turned out to be a rather expensive changing room! Anyway, the room we were allocated was fine, a small-ish double bed in a small dark room. There was a shortage of full length mirrors (ie, there wasn’t one). The lighting in the bedroom was poor. The paint was peeling from the ceiling and there were cobwebs. We used the on-site carpark which was poorly maintained and full after we’d parked. Not brilliant if you’ve been advised you have free parking but there isn’t any! I’m sure though that the room would have been fine to stay overnight in, and I’m sure we’ll book again because it’s convenient!
