The Devonshire Park Hotel

The rooms were ok, clean but could do with a fresh lick of paint. The main reason I may not stay there again was a man who shouted obscenities at 6.30am for about an hour and again in the evening around 11.00pm on a patch of green behind the hotel. It may have been a homeless person who was living in a tent there. Reception said that they could do nothing about it and that the police were not interested in solving the problem. Some neighbours pleaded with him to be quiet as they had children who were trying to sleep but he continued none the less.

Warmly greeting on our arrival. We had a room along the corridor from reception area so not much walking, this was requested in our reservation. A superb family run busy, plenty of different lounges to sit in. Good choice of cereals, yogurts, fresh fruit & cooked breakfasts to order

Sadly I was there to visit a family member in the general hospital. The parking was the main consideration for choosing this hotel and I was pleasantly surprised that the facilities were so good. I particularly appreciated the generous sized towels, the good variety of teas etc. The staff were very helpful, I was even allowed to leave my car for a couple of extra hours after check-out. It's position is second to none - just a very short stroll to the sea front.
