The hotel is lovely and the staff were amazing especially the lady who was on evening shift on reception! The bar staff were awesome too. The only reason we didn’t give a 5 star was our room. Was supposed to be a deluxe family room but there’s nothing deluxe about it. Very small and the beds were uncomfortable. We saw other guests rooms and were a bit envious!!

Every interaction with staff was painful - one didn’t even make eye contact! Not welcoming, check in was clunky, no apology offered when key card didn’t work… why employ people in hospitality who clearly have zero people skills or any interest in providing good customer service. Bed was also uncomfortable and the spa was full of kids. Hardly the relaxing overnight stay we were looking for. Bardolino staff equally as useless and disinterested.

Staff all lovely, especially attentive in the restaurant when we shared our son had food allergies. Hotel clean and spa facilities excellent - only negative was the temp of the hot tub was tepid! Highly recommended for families, the grounds were fun to explore and Cadbury Hill is literally minutes walk away.

The property was convenient to a family event we attended so chose the hotel over others in Bristol even though it was more expensive. Expected a bit more from the hotel. It was noisy. Service in the bar for food was slow. There was a fight/dispute in a nearby room. Clean enough but not impeccable. Bed comfy enough.

We were very disappointed with the hotel. Initially our room key didn’t work, the sofa bed was not ready and it took 5 hours and 4 trips to the front desk before we were able to get sheets for it. the pool was only open to kids till 7pm (would have been nice to know before 6:45pm). The outdoor seating was awful as most of the available chairs were broken to some degree. One positive note was that the food in the restaurant /bar area was fantastic.

Great hotel set in beautiful grounds. Plenty of space for the kids to run around in. The evening meal was really delicious on the terrace and we all loved the pool. The only things that let it down were the cooked breakfast - it wasn't great quality - and the juice tasted as if it was from concentrate. Why not have fresh breakfasts and good barista coffee? Also not sure why we had to pay for parking. Plus the accessibility seemed tricky for anyone who wasn't mobile - so many stairs and lifts that didn't go where you wanted them. We lost our way to reception a few times!

Check in was easy. Parking was easy. The room was lovely and clean. We had a meal in the bar, which was not great. The childs meal was well over cooked and i sent the charcoaled garlic bread back. The gym and spa looked ace, but i did not have the opportunity to use. However my son and i did go for a swim and despite being told (along with many other families) that children can enter the pool after 9am. There was a aqua aerobics class on where we had to sit on pool side and wait until finished. Why wernt we told this at the feont desk! I would recommend a visit.

Really underwhelmed and disappointed. For a £150 hotel room, being charged for on site parking was shocking. MPW steakhouse was also very disappointing for the cost, average food at high prices, albeit a nice setting. Breakfast average for the ~£30 it cost us. Gym and pool both pretty busy with lots of members and kids in the pool. Wouldn’t stay again, really poor value for money.
