Hampton by Hilton Bristol Airport

The convenience of this hotel is simply amazing. Being able to walk to departures rather than faff around waiting for a bus. The evening meal was lovely and good breakfast too. The only down side is there isn’t family rooms so we have to book 2 now we have older kids who find the sofa bed too small so that’s quite pricey.

We stay at this hotel fairly regularly as it's location so close to Bristol airport is perfect for us. However, there is a constant battle with the staff to keep the heating on in the room. This happens every time we stay in the winter. Not only is the room cold, but the dining area during evening meal was old too. I asked on of the stafff and he said that it could be 'positively Baltic' in the dining area sometimes. After many requests regarding the temperature in the room, I was finally told that was company policy and their attempt to address 'climate emergency'! LOL!! I kid you not!!!|| We will stay again because it is so handy, but we\ve learned how to hassle the staff so that the heating is left on! Completely RIDICULOUS!

It was great apart from the fire alarm going off at 12am, I know it couldn’t be helped but with our 3 month old baby it was a bit stressful

When we checked into room the 2nd bed was not made up. The quality of the 2nd bed was very poor, mattress very thin and uncomfortable even for children! Considering the cost to stay one night it was very disappointing. We had some food whilst we were there also a coronation chicken sandwich and a tuna sandwich along with food for the children pizza and a portion of chips for them to share. The sandwiches were made with very basic bread and a slight layer of filling. I have had food a number of times before and had a speciality fresh bread with ample filling and presented with a very nice salad on the side, again for the amount you charged it was very disappointing! In addition, the portion of chips were presented in a small rectangular dish, the bottom of the dish was barely covered with chips. The cost does not justify what was presented. As it was the start of our holiday and I had my grandchildren with me I didn’t make a fuss, needless to say I would definitely not recommend staying or eating with you at this hotel!
