Genting Hotel

Amazing from begining to end. We kindly got given an upgrade from family room to the Newyork suite. The room was perfect, spotless everything look like new very well looked after. Staff were lovely and very welcoming. Perfect position for NEC. Sky restraunt was lovely food was so good. Breakfast was alos lovely. This stay made our Crufts experience extra special. Thank you.

Well I paid for mine and my partners stay through Expedia after a last minute decision as we didn’t realise the Xmas market was on in Birmingham. So didn’t get much Xmas shopping after eating. We brought tooth brushes, clothes etc to wear the next day and decided to stay at the Genting hotel as resorts world has shops! So perfect up and breakfast and go get the rest of the stuff for the kids and got to the hotel around 9.15pm and was told as I had no physical I.D that I couldn’t stay even though they was not prepared to refund my money! And the booking was non refundable. I had my passport in my camera roll but it was not good enough. So after a long battle and getting no where, we made the trip home, not to return to the hotel as it was 11.45pm by the time we reached back home and then to check out at 10am after a long journey to get back there seemed really pointless; after all it was meant to be as a treat, a spontaneous hotel stay and to wake up feeling fresh to shop not knackered after driving stupid hours to get my physical passport! The night manager was very unhelpful and actually kept blaming Expedia.Expedia blamed the hotel and neither want to refund! Disgusting customer service!!! I do look young but I didn’t go to the casino and it’s a shopping mall as well, no ID is needed to go into a restaurant or the shops and I think it was lazy staff and not one manager called me regarding this nor a supervisor! The service was disgraceful, I was so unhappy!

We had a lovely time, spa was nice, adults only so my child was disappointed. Lots to do in resort’s world but of course with a cost. For the cost it’s ok.

lovely hotel just a shame the pool is not able to be used by children

Lovely hotel spoilt by silly rules. You have to be over 18 to swim with no option for supervised children even at 16yrs old. This is ridiculous as they said due to casino!! Why? children can go nearly everywhere else and unsupervised!! Can’t see a child in a wet costume wandering into a casino!! Especially if supervised!! Also room not ready on arrival and staff blamed this on previous customers rather than their ability to manage the situation. Such a shame as hotel and rooms lovely. Management need to be a little more logical.

Lovely stay, on issue was that children could not is the pool. But still had a great time.

Great hotel with friendly and efficient staff, from check-in to room cleaning staff and the breakfast catering staff. Hotel breakfast was very good. Superb, quiet bedroom with very comfortable bed. Would have liked a bath option, but shower was powerful. Great location with good transport links, and a ten minute walk through the NEC to the train station, took us to central Birmingham in twenty minutes. Enjoyed the option to shop on site and eat out at various restaurants. The only down side was that we couldn’t use the spa as a family, as it was for adults only. Overall though, I highly recommend the Genting hotel.

Lovely hotel perfect location inside the shopping Center with so much on offer without the need to get in the car. We visited Bear grylls adventure which was a 5 min walk along the lake. Staff were wonderful check in was fast and pleasant a travel cot was sent up to my room and set up within less than half hour of arriving. Very clean room spotless bathroom no mould at all and the one thing I struggle with at hotels is the kettle not being clean as I am travelling with a baby who needs it for bottles but the kettle here was pristine!! Very happy with our stay would definitely return.
