Grand Diamond Hotel Suites Trinidad

We arrived very late at night at Piarco International Airport and I had contacted the hotel before about transportation The arrangements that the hotel provided worked very well and we felt safe. At the hotel, a night staff member welcomed us and showed us to our room. The room was spacious and clean with all the basic amenities. Breakfast, next morning, had ample choices and we were served delicious local vegetarian dishes. The chef was friendly and ensured that we were satisfied with the service. This is a family owned hotel and we appreciated also meeting the owner and learning about the history of hotel and his personal journey. On the whole, very nice place, close to the airport, for an overnight stay.

Had a short stay , the room was clean and quiet , place felt secure and there was a nice safe area outside the room where my boys could play , my only issue was the lack of blackout curtains, I’m just one of those persons who don’t like to know when the sun is up when I’m not working, first peak of sunlight and my children are up for the day

I spent a week at this establishment. I'm not one for reviews but i would like to say that i was impressed by the Grand Diamond. I was down in Trinidad to complete some family business and was looking for a place to stay that was clean and economical. The Grand Diamond was both. My room was clean and modern and the a/c kept me cool in the evenings when i got back to the hotel. The upstairs had a restaurant where i could get breakfast before i left for the day and dinner if i returned early enough for it. My flight arrived in the early morning hours and knowing i was to arrive late Ermon was waiting for me. The doors are locked and secure at night so letting them know I was to arrive in the early hours, they were up and waiting. I found every staff member to be pleasant including the owner Mike. For the purposes of my visit to Trinidad this was the perfect place to stay and I would definitely stay there again. Craig

Security was good, shuttle service was fantastic. However, as I settled into the room the manager sent a message via the welcome staff that although there were two beds in the room I could only sleep on one bed as I only paid for one bed. My child was with me. I was told that I got the room because it was the only one available. Not only is this a ridiculous request, but makes you wonder if they’re trying to do the bare minimum. So much for customer service! I will be sure to spend my money where there aren’t nonsensical rules regarding use of a bed. My first and last stay at this hotel.

Mike and Nadira understand everything there is to know about making visitors feel at home. We were in Trinidad for a week for a wedding and they looked after us like family. Mike offered to pick us up from the airport (which we didn't end up needing) and Nadira dropped us off for our departure. They helped us with on-island transportation, dressing for an Indian wedding, and provided us cold medicines and folk remedies when we both caught horrible colds. We enjoyed the in-house breakfasts and tea available at all hours. They are a great couple running a great small hotel that lets you feel right at home while in a hotel. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel to friends or colleagues. Rooms were spotless, well appointed, great marble floors, nice showers, plenty of hot water, great air conditioning that was quiet and efficient. Good reading lamps.

the management gave us an all day tour of the Island. Taking us over the mountain to the beach, ate bake and shark for the first time. Toured the downtown sights, the magnificent seven houses, cultural center and jail to name a few. We finished the day feeling like family. Highly recommend the hotel for your stay. Barbara and Don.

The owner picked us up at the airport, settled us into our clean comfortable air conditioned room, and then drove us to a delicious local restaurant that belongs to his friend. After dinner he picked us up and took us home. Owner drove us back to the airport in the morning. It was like visiting family.

Stayed 1 night. It is an excellent local opttion for this since it is close to the airport, has free parking and large family room. The thai and indian restaurant is great and affordable. Service was also wonderful. Really appreciated the complimentary water and sodas in the room.
