Mystique St Lucia by Royalton

Beach is beautiful! Great views. This is a VERY basic resort! Absolutely NOT luxury or a 4-star. Staff were all very nice but appear to all be doing 2 jobs. We booked this trip last minute, we did not do much research, we liked the price. We got what we paid for. Seats by the pool were taken by 9am. Beautiful pool. Beautiful beach. Beach chairs were very old and actually sore to sit in. Lots of haggling/vendors on the beach. Room was spacious, old mattresses, you could feel springs. However, kids were given roll away beds which they were satisfied. Bathroom is open concept with glass door for toilet, awkward. Would rather 2 rooms w/ preteens. The room is only stocked with water. No soda or beer. The 1 night bar closes by 11. There are bars across the street. Spa was great! Not fancy or special but good service and great massage! Friday night street party? No need to pay to go with group. Get your own taxi! Not great for underage kids. Mud baths was a good experience. Arrange your own shuttle for airport, might be worth getting a rental. We did have a great vacation! However, we were expecting luxury. We stayed at Royalton Negril twice, so we had higher expectations from Mystique/Royalton. If we come back we would not do all inclusive. Dinner was blah and hard with a picky eater. Breakfast and lunch were standard.

During my time in St. Lucia I got to spend time in all different areas of the country. I can honestly say the Mystique was my best stay fir a great price. I loved the lay out and the employees went above and beyond for my family and I.

Resort is nice but needs to be updated. Staff were friendly was great for kids.
