I went with my mom and 2 children (4 years old and 10 years old). This is a small resort in comparison to other all inclusive resorts I’ve stayed at, however, it is a nicely laid out resort with easy access to everything. My children loved the beach and the water park. The staff in every department were very friendly and helpful. The food is satisfying. When dinner is not buffet style, there is a bit of a wait for your order when the restaurant is full. One thing to note, is the outlets in the rooms, we are from Toronto, outlets do not match our charging cords. Thankfully the resort provided us with an adapter. However, it would be nice to know that adapters are needed ahead of time, maybe it’s stated on the resorts website and I missed it. The resort provides a shuttle, for a fee, to the Friday night street festival. If you’re a lover of music, you’ll definitely want to take a taxi back and not the shuttle as the shuttle leaves the street festival at 10:30, just as the best music starts playing. Overall, very enjoyable family vacation. I would definitely return to Bay Gardens Beach Resort.

The actual building and setting are fantastic, exactly like the photos. The beach is paradise. However, the issue with Bay Gardens is the service. The majority of staff members clearly don’t want to be working there, never smile, or greet you in a friendly manner. They will do the absolute bare minimum. This really impacts your trip. Also, the majority of the AI meals are a la carte (the food is always freshly made with local ingredients but can take up to an hour to arrive). They present you with a bill at the end of each meal and expect a tip based on what you’ve eaten which I’ve never seen before. Some even look dejected when you don’t leave a tip in front of you. I preferred to give tips to those who really stood out. Candi is by far the best worker in the restaurant and is genuinely friendly and excellent with children. Davis, is a very experienced and professional waiter who could easily train the others to a level which guests would expect. Stefan is a very diligent and hard working young man who will go far. Curtis is also genuine and hard working. The animation team are outstanding: Charlyne and Kel could not do their jobs better and I’d like to have seen more of them (I don’t include the woman who ‘runs’ the kids club and clearly does not want to entertain any kids. I’d also like to thank Sandra from housekeeping. If everyone at Bay Gardens behaved like these fantastic individuals, it could be the best hotel in St Lucia and I’d consider returning

Many of the staff seem unhappy and put in the bare minimum effort. The food is very basic and the one restaurant onsite was mostly buffet style for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It would have been better if they had a proper menu for lunch and Dinner every day (especially if you have children that are picky eaters). There is a lot of room for improvement on the customer service and food quality.

We had a one bedroom with balcony overlooking the ocean and could hear waves from our room we were so close. Room was large and comfy. Amenities were nice; eg kids club water activities, splash pad, etc. everyone was insanely nice. We got a great deal in inclusive so didn’t do much walking around aside from chartering a boat, but lots of restraints and nightlife nearby. Honestly loved this hotel more than I thought I would.

Nice beach and access to water park great for kids. The room was nice. However, on the beach, the guy giving you a chair and umbrella expects payment. It would be good not have an area to shower and change before getting to the airport (checkout at 11am). Service at the Hi-Tide restaurant was extremely slow (1-hour wait for a chicken wrap), it was the kitchen, not the waiter’s fault, even if the restaurant was nor nearly full.

We spent one week at BGBR with our 4 and 7 year old and we were so sad to leave! The scale of the resort is perfectly manageable, it feels rather boutique-y and has a good mix of demographics. I had booked a pool view room but I somehow got upgraded to a beach view room on the ground floor which was a huge bonus! Waking up to the view of the sea every morning was priceless. Reduit beach is fantastic, sandy and long and perfect for walks. The sea was a bit choppy the first couple of days as the weather had been unsettled the week before, but didn’t stop us from enjoying the beach. The pool area is perfect and the kids enjoyed it, the shallow area made it perfect for the youngest one too, loved the hot tub especially in the evening! We did all Inclusive, breakfast was our favourite meal with such a big selection of food, and made to order eggs. Lunch service was a bit slow but had a good selection of choices, dinner was always good whether a la crate or buffet, we are vegetarians and there was always at least an option for us. The kids menu was a great touch. You can also order food and drinks from the beach/pool! Café was good, I was able to get my espresso fix and they always had delicious sweet treats as well. The bar had a huge list of drinks including smoothies and non alcoholic cocktails, kept everyone really happy in the heat. Our room was a suite with a sofa bed and reception was happy to accommodate our request for an extra rollaway bed. Would highly recommend!

Great small hotel with nice staff , beach front and EXCELLENT restaurant ( with so much class and variety, you don't need other options). Cozy beach that can get overcrowded with visitors from cruises but amazing location never the less. Part time hjkids club...allo

This is a very nice, family friendly, beachfront resort. We enjoyed 3 days of all inclusive food and activities. The staff is professional and vey attentive. The food is good. Our only problem is not with the resort. We stayed in the 700 building right next to a public beach assess. Loud rap music started at 7 as the workers came to clean the beach. This lasted for much of everyday. For this reason, I would choose not to stay in the 700 building.
