Courtyard by Marriott Amsterdam Airport

Great room for our family, amazing staff, beautiful location with access to a lovely park, close to public transportation, and the breakfast was delicious and diverse

Courtyard by Marriott has the most polite, professional and caring staff. From the front desk, to the cleaning staff, to the shuttle drivers, to the restaurant staff- we had an amazingly positive and pleasant experience. Most importantly, one member of our family had a serious medical emergency, and the staff were trained to handle it, provided clear communication, as well as emotional support and all the necessary supplies. I wish all Marriott Hotels in the USA were this good. Best hotel experience.

The beds were not comfortable at all. We brought it up and they said they’ll check on them and they didn’t. The bed was broken from one side which made the bed tilted to the right. Then my husband and children were playing cards and the staff member said my husband couldn’t be playing there on the floor. Didn’t offer solution and just expected us to leave. Wasn’t very pleasant experience.

This hotel is quite suitable for family stay. However, must plan ahead before if your flight is landing laye at Schiphol

Expensive tax at this hotel: city + government 22euros for a night. Not super child friendly , reluctant to heat baby food by micro at reception But resto staff friendly. Expensive water! 5euros for 0,75 l. Expensive Shuttle transfer . And expensive taxi to AirPort 60euros

Nice hotel but no restaurants in the immediate area. Wouldn’t stay here again unless I had a car. Shuttle from airport is expensive for a family.

Our family absolutely loved staying here, and we wish we could have stayed even more days than we did!

Overall a good stay for a night layover. However upon reading the fine print after checking in this hotel charges a fee per person for airport shuttle. Aside from that it’s everything you’d expect from a Marriott chain hotel and I was happy with my stay. Room was not cleaned as well as I am used to, body wash dispenser in shower was empty, also 2 large moths came flying out of the lamp shades at night when we turned the lights on which startled my children. Very peaceful location with a fantastic breakfast buffet, well worth the money for the breakfast add-on.

I liked that there was a family room to sleep 5 comfortably, and that there was a good breakfast available at the hotel.

Being on the outskirts of Amsterdam meant a lot of public transit time. This actually ended up being a major boon, as the transit is extremely reliable and the kids could rest as we travelled back and forth. The service was great. The cleaning was an area for improvement for the hotel as there was lots of dust after the cleaning was done. Additionally, we hung our towels nicely to indicate we did not want them changed, but they changed anyhow. There are worse things to complain about, but when eco-friendliness is part of what you are promoting sticking to your own policies matters. The room was spacious and was one of the more comfortable stays we have had in Europe as a family of four. The park behind the hotel made for excellent evening and morning strolls.
