Novotel Amsterdam Schiphol Airport

The lady on reception was so welcoming and just really warming and lovely. After a cancelled flight, myself and my family just needed to rest and recuperate and they made us feel very welcome. The restaurant food was delicious. Bed was comfy and that was all we needed! Only thing I would of said was it would of been handy if they sold tshirts/ dressing gowns... something! Our luggage was lost and we had no clothes to change to. Not the hotels fault but I would of bought something if they sold it!!

Very nice stay. Our children loved the play area near the restaurant.

Sadly this was not comparable to the other wholly positive experiences we've had at other Novotel hotels. - The room was not prepared with a bed for our child, despite the clear inclusion of a child on the reservation, a reminder phone call days before arrival & further requests on arrival. - Food was served cold in the restaurant. - Despite buying several drinks & meals, we were refused tap water for an infant at the restaurant, which is just offensive. It's a shame that this stay, right at the end of an otherwise great break, has somewhat tarnished our otherwise positive view of the chain.

My family and I (four adults one child) booked two rooms for three nights four days and we had a great time. The hotel we stayed at is in Hoofddorp, Netherlands and we couldn't ask for a better location. Hoffddorp Station is about 4 minutes away from Schiphol Airport by train (or a short bus ride) and the hotel is about 3 minutes walk from the train station. Novotel Amsterdam Schiphol Airport is a great hotel that sits in a beautiful and quiet location. Travelling across The Netherlands is easy from this hotel. We were able to use both buses and trains from Hoofddorp Station and the services were great. From Hooddorp to Amsterdam Central Station is about 30 minutes and about 45 minutes to Den Haag (The Hague). The cleanliness of the hotel is superb and staffing are excellent. We didn't use most of the facilities except for wifi and breakfast and both were great. We arrived early to the hotel from the airport so our rooms weren't quite ready so we were given complimentary drinks while we wait although it was about a five minutes. It was good though to relax and have a drink. All of the staff from reception and bar to housekeeping and kitchen staff were fantastic and they made us feel welcome and I cannot praise them enough. We had a fantastic stay at this hotel and the location and staffing made it a wonderful holiday.

A great option for families who want super convenient access to trains and buses into town: Amsterdam Centraal is only 20min away by direct train; the airport is 4 min and one stop away. Modern, clean, and great breakfasts. Thank you!

Another great Novotel for families on the go. Reception manager super helpful, educated and courteous. if only all meals and add-ons were not so overpriced, but so is everything with the title "Amsterdam" in it.

It was a very nice property, check-in is streamlined, the staff are very nice, and we are 3 families who had fun at this property, walkable to a nearby station, I took a cab to reach there though maybe 25 bucks.

Nice, clean and quiet place to stay with family and friends.

Lovely clean and friendly hotel. The beds were so comfortable and is in easy reach (approx 4min walk) of Hoofddorp train station (this is only a 4min train from the airport also). The train station has machines to buy your train tickets, these are easy to use and ticket was about £11.35 to get into Amsterdam return. From the airport was about £3.20 each way.... I should of got a return 😁 The only annoying thing was a high family taking plate after plate after plate full of pastries and anything back to their room, didn't leave much for the rest of us at breakfast. The staff were very quick to restock mind. The food at breakfast was lovely. All staff went above and beyond, very genuinely kind and friendly. There isnt much around the hotel, it feels a bit like a business area for lay overs. A little shop and playground would be good close by. I walked 15 mins to buy some milk for the baby.
