ibis Mazatlán Marina

I asked for extra pillow since I had 2 children. They wanted to charge an extra fee.

Visited Mazatlan during the month of August (rainy season) due to an ailing family member. Drive from airport to hotel was long, estimate 30 minutes. Drive to the Marina area is at least five minutes but Uber is readily available. The hotel has a very modern look. The rooms are small but comfortable. Shower area did not include bars of soap or hand towels for washing. A body wash liquid dispenser was the only available option. The hotel has a tiny bar area which was nice for late nights and stop selling alcohol at 10:30 PM. The on-site small restaurant offers a breakfast buffet offering standard fruits dry cereal juice and coffee. The hot foods was average at best. There is a Walmart two blocks away from the hotel. There is a large shopping mall across the street. The hotel was very reasonably priced booking through Expedia. I extended my stay and it was more expensive to directly book with the hotel. Would I stay there again? Wouldn’t be my first choice if I was visiting for leisure, I think I would choose to stay at one of the hotels near the beach or closer to the marina area.
