Staff at desk was friendly and helpful, however, when we had our room cleaned a few 500 yen coins that we set aside for doing laundry were taken from our desk while we were out. There are rats in the bushes outside the property door. Hotel is in Kabukicho area (red light district) which has some shady characteristics associated with the area so be mindful if you’re bringing children or do not want to be exposed to those things. The refrigerator didn’t get cold so we couldnt store food. They only provide little packets of shampoo and conditioner good for one day unless you request more for every night. Far walk from subway stations or use taxis. Lobby staff was very welcoming and helpful with luggage transfer service.

You can’t beat the location if you’re there for night life and bar hopping around Shinjuku. The room was on the small side but not as bad as other hotels. There were some streets around with bars I wouldn’t consider “family friendly” so keep that in mind. But the location still makes this place worth it. No more than a 10 minute walk to anywhere around Shinjuku. Excellent dining, shopping, and entertainment everywhere!

Convenient location to shinjuku main station and other local stations. In the middle of the red light district, which we never felt unsafe in (its japan!), however i would not advise for families to stay here for that reason. Breakfast was good. Lost a star for quite a few rats outside (not inside) but that was an unpleasant suprise considering how clean Toyko felt. Small rooms but thats much the same everywhere you go in Toyko.

If you want to open your suitcase, you need to upgrade to a suite, which we did & the conditions improved dramatically. I thought a deluxe double would be big enough but it was very small & pretty run down. The suite was a lot nicer though. Everything is really scuffed, chipped, needs a deep clean & is on the way to looking really run down. We were across from the cleaning closet so the cleaning people were really loud early in the morning & around a dozen left bags of dirty laundry lining the halls to our room for most of both days we were there. It IS in the red light district, so if you're not a city person or with a family, I wouldn't stay here but if you want to party close to golden Gai, it's a 5 min walk. The suite views were nice.

The location is convenient and walkable to dining and shopping. The room is small in western standard but clean, quiet and at a great price including breakfast. The food is good with continental and Japanese choices. Staff is friendly. Corridors on guest rooms floors could need a make over. My stay was pleasant and nice.Would recommend friends and family.

The hotel is clean however its a bit old. Although the location is close to anything, it was in the middle of clubs and night life. Its good for young people wanting a place to stay on vacation but probably not good for family stay. I like that I was able to order Uber and got delivered on time.

Terrible hotel. This is not a 4 star hotel - it’s a 2 at best. Location is 10 min walk to Shinjuku Station but is located within the red light district and surrounded by love hotels. Area feels unsafe and is not suitable for families as other reviews may suggest. Amenities are awful - what “4 star hotel” provides packet shampoos, has no security with lift access (i.e. no need to swipe pass to access levels) and charges to book a taxi? Walking around at night felt uncomfortable and dirty. Will never stay here again or recommend.

This hotel photographs better than it is in actuality. The lobby, cafe and rooftop bar are nice but the rooms are small and not in the best condition. The worst part of this hotel is it’s location. Which is near the adult entertainment area of shinjuku which is seedy and feels particularly unsafe at night. Not a good place for families. The staff was great, no complaints there.
