La'gent Hotel Shinjuku Kabukicho

Room is clean and updated. Very gomfy to stsy for a family abs very good access to all major Sightsee areas. Highly recommended

In the heart of kabukicho area. It’s the red light district so I would not recommend staying in this area if you have kids. However there are lots of restaurants in the area and convenience stores. Limousine bus makes a stop at a hotel 2 mins walk away so it’s easy to get to the airport. Metro is about 5 mins walk away. The hotel itself was great. No complaints except maybe a better hair dryer would be nice.

Over the course of my trip to Japan, I stayed in five hotels. This last hotel was the worst of the set. The location is unsafe and quite loud in the evenings, which I am really disappointed I missed when booking. It's a redlight district in Shinjuku, so beware if you're bringing family. I am not a partier, and this was the absolute wrong hotel and neighbourhood for me, in light of this. The room was dusty and dirty, with pieces of lint and other debris scattered in the room. The beds are deeply uncomfortable - hard as a rock, to the point that you get back and hip pain easily. Both my partner and I slept terribly - the hotel would do well to invest in new mattresses. Consider going elsewhere if you're looking for a good rest and clean room.

The place is located in a place whose environment at night is not so pleasant, the rooms are not suitable for families, the rooms are very crowded, the mattresses are uncomfortable, there was no place to even open a suitcase

We had a 22 layover in Tokyo and chose to stay in Shinjuku so we could see some sights before we had to head back to the airport. We were traveling with our two kids so i chose this hotel because it offered 4 beds and other hotels only offer two twin sized beds. The room was awesome, super Japanese, beds are on the floor as are the table and chairs. The bathroom is a typical Japanese bathroom that you would find in a home in Japan. The kids absolutely loved it. The halls are also decorated beautifully in a very Japanese style. Of course the location is great, it is very close to Shinjuku station, and right in the heart of the neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again should we return to Tokyo.

My family did not know this was right across the street from the park where prostitution is. We have small children and it just wasn’t the right area. We all had big bites all over our body and legs from the beds. There was multiple dead bugs by the window sill inside, the bathroom mirror edges metal was all rusted. Just overall felt dirty. The room was extremely small. I wished we booked another hotel on our last week in Tokyo. I dreaded the walk back to the hotel everyday because of the area and the condition of the hotel. The staff was very friendly. But because of the area and bugs and uncleanliness of the rooms, we Will never stay here again.

My family of 4 stayed in here March 2023 for 5 nights. We were really impressed by this hotel. The room and bathroom was super luxurious and clean. The location in Shinjuku is perfect and the morning breakfast buffet was AMAZING!!! We want to stay here again - great hotel and staff!
