Tokyu Stay Shinjuku Eastside

Our family of 5 stayed in 2 connecting rooms and it has everything we needed. The other room had 3 beds and the other one had a queen sized bed. It was pretty quiet at night. The AC was more than enough to cool us down during the heatwave of July. Never had a problem with any smells or any amenities at the hotel. They have free coffee 24/7 near the lobby. The breakfast has a lot of options both Japanese and western. The people at the check-in counter were all very helpful with all of our needs including safe keeping of our big luggages prior and post check out. I would gladly stay here again when I come back

Loved our stay the staff were very accommodating and the room worked well for our family. Recommend for families getting the adjoining rooms as this gave us the space we needed and washing machine/ dryer was so helpful for our family.

The hotel is just as you expected, but the service was not good in my experience. I was charged extra when I checked in. They consider children over 6 as adults, not 17 as stated when you book your hotel on Expedia. Furthermore, the price for one adult, two adults, and one adult plus a child is the same on Expedia, but when I checked in, they charged me more for two adults even though I booked one adult and one child. Maybe there is a cultural misunderstanding, but I just don't understand. It ruined my mood, especially on the first day in Japan. Overall, the hotel is clean and convenient, with a 6-minute walk to the metro and a 15-minute walk to Shinjuku station. Family Mart and Lawson are also close to the hotel. My only complaint is the service.

My family and I stayed for 3 nights recently. Out of the hustle and bustle of Shinjuku but close enough that you can walk to it (within 10 - 15 minute easy walk). We liked the seperate bathroom area, good little kitchen with the essentials and the beds were comfortable (westerner). Also handy is the washer/ dryer in the room (while a little complicated to work as I couldn’t find any English instructions). A pleasant stay and I would have no hesitation to book again or recommend to a friend.

We stayed in 6 hotels whilst in Japan and this was our favourite. We are a family of 4 and we had two connecting rooms. Each one had their washing machine and bathroom. Great location. Family Mart across the road as well as a takeaway food place. 5 min walk to the station. 15 minute walk from Shinjinko station.

A perfect stay at Tokyu Stay! Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We booked a double room and my kids had the much bigger room which they enjoyed. Highly recommend if want to stay in Shinjuku. I can't wait to come back and visit again.

This was a very pleasant stay. We had adjoining rooms for our family and it was very comfortable. I thought the breakfast was a little expensive for what it was, but otherwise this was an excellent stay. Great location, very clean. I highly recommend it.

There is not a lot of locations that offer adjoining rooms. This feature made traveling with a toddler under 4 years of age easier for our other companions. We were able to leave our room door open when needed without the need to enter than main hallway, which allowed ample of space for our toddler to run around without bother other guests. The staff were all friendly and able to answer our questions despite the language barrier. They do not offer daily cleaning unless requested, however this was not a problem for us since it offered more privacy.

We had an odor in the bathroom and the staff was quick in getting it fixed. However, they should have checked the room before putting us in it. Complimentary coffee was only available after 10am whereas the other hotels have coffee available all day. If you check in together with more than one family, make sure you're clear on which key belongs to which room because if you forget your keys they won't let you in until you show them the correct passport.
