Kimpton Shinjuku Tokyo, an IHG Hotel

Our family of four had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Rooms were immaculate and dining options were great. This was a great introduction to Tokyo for us and the.close location to the Shinjuku station was perfect. We love the Kimpton brand and this hotel did not disappoint! Thank you for a lovely stay.

Loved everything about the stay except a small issue which was taken care of. We booked 2 rooms for 2 adults and 2 teenagers (16 and 14) and had paid extra for breakfasts. During check-in, staff told us breakfasts were only for adults and that we would have to pay for kids. I can understand if the rule applies if 1 room is booked for 2 adults and 2 kids. But if I have booked 2 rooms - it should not matter if it is 1 adult and 1 child in the room. I had a screenshot of my reservation that clearly said 'breakfast included' not stating that it was only for adults. The staff accepted that and all 4 of us were able to eat without having to pay an additional charge.

Nothing to fault. Great modern boutique hotel. Good size clean rooms. Staff are friendly and helpful. Returned to the hotel on our last day after 10 days travelling Japan and staff welcomed you back like family. Although no in the centre of Shinjuko, it's a 10-15 minute easy walk.

Rented 2 suites for 3 nights w my family. The rooms were exceptional. Very comfortable beds, beautiful bathrooms. The hotel must be new soncevevery aspect ofbthe rooms are modern and spotless. Probably one of the better hotels Ive ever stayed at.

The highest rating was awarded due to the incredible superb level of staff. They were wonderful: Alessandro should run the entire hotel!!! He alone made each of our evening noteworthy and provided endless assistance on ALL levels: locating superb dinner locations, calling taxis etc.!! The kitchen staff were superb and became almost "family," and the room staff were superb. The negative side dealt with the incredibly small size of the room and the fact English channels were NOT available except for "news" networks. Positively LOVED the fact that the entire hotel AND restaurant were "pet" friendly!!!!!
