ibis Styles Osaka Namba

I have stayed in over 30 hotels in Japan and this is one of the worst hotels that I have ever stayed in. When we enter the room there is such a strong smell of bleach and other substances that we immediately requested for a room change. We were moved to another room but the smell is still there, just not as strong as the first room. The air conditioner has bad smell when we turned it on. The bathroom has a smell with the shower curtain. Our child keep on saying that everything in the room is “so smelly”. There is even a blended edge of the metal near the pillow, which could have hurt our child by accident. Overall the staffs are great. I feel the core problem is just the hardware of the hotel which is kind of aged. Would not recommend as I felt there are a couple of other hotels in the area that I have stayed which cost the same but is in much better condition.
