Luxurious feeling hotel in a great location, with comfortable rooms and bathrooms. Spacious by Japanese standards. Breakfast was very good. However, the pool and gym facilities and their regulations really let the hotel down. The gym is not free to hotel guests! There is a daily fee per person. Children are only allowed in from 7am-9am, the pool is lane swimming only and you must wear a swimming cap. You cannot use your phone by the pool, and the other rules go on and on. Altogether it was a very disappointing experience as I had chosen the hotel because of the swimming pool with a family.

The family room with 4 beds is handy with a family of 4. Needs adequate Lighting. It’s nice that it’s close to everything.

Located at the station, lovely room, clean, the best breaky we’ve had in Japan, only downside was you couldn’t use the pool without paying and only at certain times of the day 7-9am for children, very inconvenient and disappointing.

Everything is great except a small step between the bathroom and the room. Tripping hazard especially for the senior or children.

The lobby and facilities are great, the room itself is very spacious (family room) but you could tell the carpet needed a good clean (it was vacuumed but still old and dirty). We also had a really dirty couch in the room with stains which really needed to be steam cleaned or replaced. Showers and bathroom were very nice, spacious and clean.

We had a large family group go to Japan for a total of 10 days. One of the elderly family members started having a difficult time physically and by the time we got to Kyoto was in need of a wheelchair. The Hotel staff immediately got her wheelchair, and additionally took all of our luggage upstairs to our room for us - for 12 people! I’m talking three carts full of luggage! In my 40 some years, I have never received such amazing service.
