We gave this hotel a five star rating because of the staff and location. We traveled as a family of three and rented the four person room. Goods: - The staff at this hotel are amazing. - The location of the hotel is very good for walking around Florence. - Breakfast buffet in small, but good quality for a 3 star European hotel. Others: - This is a typical 3 star hotel in the center of Florence. That means that the hotel rooms are small, Bathrooms are small and either outdated or an upgraded version of something that started very small. You need to navigate small elevators and tight stairs with your bags, at check-in and check out. Also, don't rent this hotel if your planning on spending a lot of time in the room. You rent a 3 star in Florence to get close to the action at a cheaper price.

Superb, helpful, and friendly staff. Generous, filling breakfast with fresh cut fruits, and individualized coffee and tea, including cappuccino, Everything was very clean, with the bathroom being particularly spacious and well-lit. Location was right in the center of the old city, making it very easy to get around and see the sites, go to museums, eat, and shop. Will stay there again and have already highly recommended it to family and friends.

I just went to Florence for five days and I am delighted and grateful I found this wonderful family-run hotel right at the centre of the city. More than the perfect location for visiting the key sights, Hotel Davanzati is a beautiful and comfortable boutique hotel where the family team are both welcoming and efficient, attending to your every need so that you have a wonderful and comfortable stay with them. The breakfast, afternoon tea/coffee service, and aperitif in the evening are lovely to get you going for the day, to relax on a break from the visit, or getting ready to go for dinner. All in all a Five Star experience!

We loved our stay at Davanzati! We were a family of 4 and the superior quadruple room was perfect for us and our two college aged kids. The location was walkable to everything. The staff was so friendly and helpful, they greeted us whenever we walked by the front desk. The property had a nice breakfast and happy hour. We would definitely recommend and stay here again!

One of our loveliest hotel experiences ever, after almost 30 years of traversing the world. We felt deeply at home at this family owned and operated property. The staff was supremely helpful and accommodating. And the location can’t be beat.
