Alessandra at check-in made us feel very welcome and we appreciate her hospitality. Her recommendations were perfect. Would highly recommend staying at this hotel with a family.

The 4 person room was perfect for a family. Tons of room. The area of the hotel is safe and close to the train station, sites, and great restaurants. Also the breakfast was fresh every morning. We would absolutely stay here again.

My family and I were in the family apt next to the side door and it was spacious and clean. The ac in the rooms were amazing especially because when we were there, it was hot. The free breakfast was really nice, I think the croissants were homemade. Overall, my family and i had a good stay considering it was very walkable to restaurants and Termini.

It is a very well managed family business. There is a personal touch there. It is reasonably priced, as we had family members staying at similarly priced hotels that weren't nearly nice. Quad room perfect for families with children.

The property was a bit hard to find initially, so I would just recommend they have better instructions for finding it (unless they did and I completely missed it) but the staff is what makes this hotel so great. The location is pretty nice too, near the main train station and about 15 minute walk from most attractions.
The front desk was more than helpful during both the check in and checkout process. Our flight back home was at 7:00AM, and the day before, the front desk helped us book a taxi for 3:30AM and even prepared sandwiches juice for my entire family to take on our flight. Thank you for everything!

The apartment we booked was perfect for our family of four. We were looking for a place close to sites and give us an authentic feel to our stay. It did just that. 20 min walk to Pantheon, trevi fountain, colleseum, Roman forum and Palatine hill. An added bonus of a 15 minute walk to the main train station. The place had rounded windows and beautiful arched brick ceilings and easy side door access to the street. The staff was polite and efficient. Breakfast was a perfect start to the day. Highly recommended

We loved our stay at this hotel. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was definitely appreciated and provided a good start to our active day. They even acknowledged my birthday which made me feel very special! The location was only a 10 minute walk from the Termini station which was definitely a plus if arriving by train. We took taxis most everywhere due to my foot problems but many of the places were walkable. Many great restaurants nearby. We loved Rome and our stay at Hotel Gea!! We will nit hesitate to recommend to family and friends!

Loved this hotel! They made a special effort because we were arriving early. The room was clean and spacious, with 2 separate areas to sleep. We had a small fridge. Lovely breakfast with a good variety, and lovely service. We had a bag delay, and they brought it to our room once it was delivered. The front desk was so helpful for directions and recommendations. We will recommend it to our family for a stay in Rome!

You always hear the “oh, stay at a small hotel, it’ll be charming, you’ll feel like family”. Geeze, did we ever. Tiny hotel - as we’re walking in to the building (former mansion of some sort), a woman greets us, bids us welcome and helps us get the lift to our floor. “I am Gea!” And yeah, she’s the owner. Like everyone we dealt with, charming and willing to help.
Rooms - we had 3, and all were great and different - one had an entryway, a front room, then two bedrooms. Others had a front room and two bedrooms. Our room had the original door, lock, and key. AC was good, thankfully. Everything was in great condition, and made life easy. 3 separate beds= win!
Breakfast was superb, and in retrospect an indicator in what the food in Rome was going to be like… Amazing. Bunch of pastries and boiled eggs and more, and the woman running the room would even make you a sandwich. It was weird but very cool - I’m used to the American “continental breakfast” at hotels, and this pole-vaulted over them.
Special shout out for helping us out - we arrived on day 1 of a 2-day train strike, and the woman up front (who’d worked there since she was 19!) contacted some coworkers, and we had confirmation an hour later that we would have shuttle buses to the port the next day.
Down sides: none. We were near the street so heard the ambulance/police in the early evening, but it quieted down at night and they had ear plugs in case.
Would definitely do again. Everything was effortless. A++

We stayed in one of the apartments. Really an Italian feel in that it is not like a traditional hotel. Decor is cute. Staff is super friendly and helpful! It’s cool that you get an actual key to unlock the door, not like a swipe in other hotels. Very clean. It’s a bit older hotel but very nicely kept. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The breakfast is free and is continental. The homemade croissants are to die for…pistachio, berry, honey, Nutella. The “coffee” is excellent in all forms. Don’t drink the American version or you will regret it. The only thing we didn’t like is the beds are very firm and pillows are not soft. I’m not too picky with the beds usually but after 4 nights, that was my max. I loved, though, that the kids had two twin beds to sleep in. The other great thing about this hotel is that it is not too far from major tourist sites but just far enough away that there are a lot less people. I don’t recommend staying near major tourist sites during busy season as just too crowded.
